  2. Overwhelming Stress! Work & Home---ProjectsSpouseClients KidsCo-workers And yes, the aforementioned Pets---Plus we all have numbers of other stressors and time conflicts in our lives.What are we to do???
  3. First…---We have to think clearly about the type of tasks we have on the table.Axis – ImportantAxis – Urgent(Go thru Quadrants 1,2,3/4)We want to live in the Quadrant 2 to make the best of our time.How? What is the first step?
  4. Write it down your tasks…A task may be a physical action; accomplished at a sitting, supports valuable progress toward a recognized larger goal, is something for which you are the most appropriate person for the job.----Writing them down, rather than only in your mind or using your inbox as a task list forces you to think about each item, its value, and how it fits into everything else. Internalize as something you need to do – less likely to forget
  5. Now prioritize the tasks. You can categorize the tasks by A, B, & C. A= Things you really need or should do today. B= Things you need to do soon, but can wait. C= The less important items. ----Then, number each category based on importance. A1, A2, A3, etc. This helps you determine which to tackle first.Not too many A’s! If everything is an A nothing is an A. Take the time to really prioritize. Also, do not be fooled into thinking more tasks done today = more done. One BIG A can often be more valuable to you and your employer than 20 SMALL C’s.
