2005 Project SalesManager Hamilton Scientific Two Rivers, WI
Responsible for reviewing bid documents and submitting pricing proposals with alternates,
and providing estimates and support to a dealer network.
1999-2004 Product Design Drafter Hamilton Scientific Two Rivers, WI
2003-2004
Responsible for timely and accurate preparation of non-standard engineering details to meet
specific customer requests on fume hoods product lines.
2001-2003
Primary focus was on engineering change work of steel furniture products, adaptable
systems, and fume hoods, I incorporated requests from manufacturing and new features and
designs from R&D into existing products and I worked with manufacturing to refine new
designs after prototyping and releases of new fume hood lines and biological safety cabinets.
1999-2001
Having received training in operating the company’s 2D CAD system (CADAM) in 1999, the
company switched to SolidWorks prior to January 2000. All of my projects after that point
involved transitioning from the 2D to the 3D environment.
1997-1999 Fabricator Hamilton Scientific Two Rivers, WI
Acquired first-hand experience of sheet metal manufacturing processes. Operated CNC turret
punch presses, CNC shears, welding and finishing.

Accomplishments
2014 Applications Integration Hamilton Scientific
Validated the full integration of the PDM system with AutoCAD to manage revision control of
and information displayed on AutoCAD drawings, primarily used for wiring schematics.
2014 DriveWorks Express Project
Created a new DriveWorks Express project using a new product, to meld with requirements
set forth by the new order entry configurator. Product was successfully able to be configured
for overall size, component size, various product features and complete standard options set
which also resulted in shop drawings created.
2013 Data Design
Designed the model structure of a new product line to meet desired technology milestones
and product design parameters, and provided data design criteria to the development team
for the same.
2013 Sheet Metal Fabrication
Developed proper sheet metal fabrication parameters using CAD system, shop samples,
tooling details and k-factor calculations. Parameters were then utilized via SolidWorks bend
table.
2013 Installations and validations
Research and promote updates of new CAD and PDM applications versions, and continually
validate and recommend service pack releases.
2012 Revision control
Configured the PDM system to manage revision information displayed on the drawing,
providing lock-step revision control for engineering documentation.
2011 DriveWorks Solo Project
Learned how to build a DriveWorks project to provide design automation and considered how
it fit with our current business models and systems.
2010 Drawing update accuracy
Reviewed and set options in the PDM system that Update engineering drawings with the
latest model changes. This had previously been a problematic and costly issue.
2009 Procedure documentation & technical communications
Created “Standard Procedures” guides for PDM system users, for publication on The
Hamilton Online Resources.
Regularly communicated technical knowledge to CAD/PDM users through a “Tip of the
Week” email.
2008 Engineering Librarian
Asked for and was given responsibility of maintaining Master engineering data. This includes
moving files into Master directories when released from development and revision,
maintaining all global SolidWorks data libraries, and keeping CAD files and data structure in
good maintenance.
2007 PDM System Administration
Took a professional interest in leading the administration of the PDM system.
Maintained logs of support calls with the software reseller technical support and
communicated improvements and bug fixes regularly to a team of application users.
2006 CAD/PDM users group
Volunteered and participated in a CAD/PDM users group to assist in the set-up and roll-out of
the recently installed PDM system and to support current CAD user issues.
