Editor's Notes
The purpose of this presentation is to set the scene for a series of lectures that will be presented under the banner of “ecologies of knowledge”. The lectures will be presented by people who are expert in and passionate about very diverse fields of interest, but each one can be understood as shedding light on an aspect of some or other ecology of knowledge. In this presentation I set out what is meant by an ecology of knowledge. I describe three moves, ask three questions, present two dimensions, and finally suggest three things to do.
