To wish mercy for another, you must be willing to grant mercy to
them.
Thayer’s dictionary defines mercy as, “kindness or good will
towards the miserable and the afflicted, joined with a desire to help
them.”
Webster’s dictionary, “That benevolence, mildness or tenderness
of heart which disposes a person to overlook injuries, or to treat an
offender better than he deserves.”
