The Court of Common Pleas of the State of Pennsylvania, County of Allegheny decision in favor of EQT (shale driller) allowing them to drill horizontally under properties they already have leased that are contiguous. The landowners, under old leases, objected saying EQT would have to drill on each property individually. The court upheld a newer PA law, SB 259, saying the law does not abridge existing rights or create new rights and allows EQT to drill the way it wants to.
