This document discusses self-transformation and outlines a 7-stage process. It defines self-transformation as consciously changing one's thoughts, actions, and behaviors through mental activity to experience more happiness and fulfillment. The 7 stages are: 1) Acknowledge your current state, 2) Forgive others who have harmed you, 3) Let go of people and situations that cause suffering, 4) Accept both perfection and imperfection within yourself, 5) Love yourself unconditionally, 6) Surrender desires to control others and their perspectives, and 7) Create and reinvent yourself by changing what you don't like. Actualizing your own potential requires discovering your essence rather than copying others.
2. What is self-transformation?
Transforming of one's own thoughts, actions, or behavior
The self to consciously use mental activity to change/modify the
brain’s neural network in order to experience life with more
happiness and fulfillment.
This capacity of using awareness to do so is based on the
assumption that the brain and the mind are closely connected that
one does not change without the other.[
3. Self-Transformation
Humans are not meant to stop growing. In fact, no living thing on earth is meant to stop
growing. We are all alive, reaching for the sun.
Progress in life is all about reinvention. I am going to preface all of this by saying that
reinvention is not the same thing as endlessly seeking reward or achievement. There is a
difference. Seeking an achievement usually implies an "end." You win the trophy and then
you're "done." That's not what you want to aim for--because as soon as you say you're "done,"
you are no longer reaching and stretching yourself, which means you stop growing.
Reinvention, however, leaves the end open--which is actually a good thing. Reinvention is what
allows you endless opportunities to continue exploring new parts of yourself. Exploration is
growth, and growth in this sense is not outward facing but inward.
Whenever you find something about yourself you want to change, you need to look for a way
to reinvent it.
5. 7 Questions – Before Self-Transformation
Q 1: What do I want? What changes do I want to make in myself and in my experience? How do I want to feel?
How do I want my life to be?
Q 2 : Do I truly want to achieve these goals?
Q 3 : Am I willing to be uncomfortable for the sake of the little child within myself in order to achieve these
goals? Am I willing to face my anger, hurt, fear, and shame? Am I willing to face my personal dragons?
Q 4 : Am I willing to admit that I am in a certain amount of denial about my problems, what I feel, and who I
am?
Q 5 : Am I willing to humble myself? Am I willing to know that I have been wrong about certain things
regarding myself and others? Am I willing to discover the truth about my- self? Am I willing to have an open
mind?
Q 6 : If needed am I willing to seek the help and support of others?
Q 7 : Am I willing to spend the time, effort, and money necessary to help myself achieve my goals? Am I willing
to pursue with determination?
6. What’s your Answer ???????
If you have answered "yes" to all of these questions,
you are ready to begin. If you are excited and a little
frightened, you are ready. It is normal to feel afraid.
Find your courage. Remember that courage is not
the lack of fear, it is the willingness to pursue in
spite of it.
7. Action
“Lanny Bassham, an Olympic gold medal shooter calls this handy precept the
“ready, fire, aim” principle. Lanny claims that in sports and in life, people spend
too much time aiming at the bull’s-eye and not enough time shooting at it.
Rather than placing so much emphasis on getting ready and aiming, go ahead
and take a shot. Taking the shot gets you started and also lets you gauge how
far off the mark you are. Make adjustments, but keep shooting until you get
closer and closer, and eventually you will hit the bull’s eye.” (10-Minute
Toughness, Jason Selk)
9. To Acknowledge
Acknowledge where you are physically,
emotionally, mentally, and spiritually at this
stage in your life. What are the negative
emotions that cause you to suffer right now?
And when you are angry, sad, depressed or
not being heard or respected by others ask
yourself why.
When you recognize how you feel and what
causes it, you can change it.
10. To Forgive
Give yourself permission to forgive
others who may have done harm and
caused you to suffer.
Basically, when you learn forgiveness
you cut the energetic cord between
you and the others who have caused
you to suffer.
11. To Let Go
As you let go of the person or situation,
you are clearing your emotional, mental
and spiritual bodies to make room for
learning and growing.
Letting go is so important to a healthy life
with peace of mind.
12. To Accept
I accept the perfection and the
imperfection within me. I have learned
to be patient, kind and gentle with
myself.
When you are a perfectionist, you
merely look for the "right and wrong"
in any situation and you miss the
lesson behind it.
13. To Love
It took me a long-time to understand self-love.
I loved my family, my children, and friends, but
not myself.
Now I love myself unconditionally. I am at
peace with my body, mind, and spirit; my
whole being is at peace.
Self-love is at the heart of having a healthy
self-esteem as well as a healthy self-image
14. To Surrender
Whenever I try to control another
individual or judge him or her, I know that I
am not in balance. I have learned to
surrender by letting go of that person, and
I try to put myself in the other person's
perspective.
The wounding and the suffering that you
carry is not who you are. You do have the
choice to change it.
15. To Create
Once you have committed yourself to the
process of Self-Transformation, you will
find that it is time to create and reinvent
yourself. So if there is something you do
not like about yourself, then change it.
I wish you a life journey full of miracles,
joy, love, peace and financial abundance.
16.
17. Actualize your Own Potential
No person can be happy by
copying someone else,
he/she needs to discover the
essence within him/ her that
will help to actualize his/her
own potential
