Everyone will have different drives,
thoughts, approaches and reactions.
Encourage high performers. Mentor those
who need it. Nip poor performance in the
bud early.
Be aware of what your team is doing. Keep
an eye on overtime and do what you can to
offset it.
Encourage the wider business to
understand the role of your team and the
responsibilities, stresses and pressures
they are under.
Numbers, target and the bottom line aren't
everything. Good staff members are hard
to find. Recruitment is expensive and time
consuming. If you value the staff you have,
make sure they know.
