Special Achievements through creative design in real life engineering
 Saved around 20 Million dollars’ worth of earthwork just by rotating the whole plant by 180
degrees. 500,000 m3 cut and fill was reduced by simple decision.
 Implemented large scale soil stabilization program leading to an overall cost casing of around 10
million dollars in overall construction man hours for Jackfish 3 Project of Devon. Savings in terms
of schedule is unaccounted.
 Saved around 30 weeks in construction schedule in construction of Tank foundations by
incorporating Cemtarix Bas and soil stabilization. (Jackfish 3). Jackfish 2 it took around one whole
year and in jackfish 3 same tank pads were build within 4 months.
 Saved around $5 million by challenging decision of EPC to go for stone column tank bases (Tank
terminal Project) just by spending around $15000 extra by seeking second opinion from some
independent Geotechnical consultant.
 Reduced Tank pad height by proposing bigger horse power pumps and saved 1.5 m depth of
pad. (Ferrier)
 Vendor (KAWASAKI) was technically convinced to increase Allowable Vibration Amplitude to 30
Micron from a very stringent initial value of 5 Micron for Foundation for Compressor in ZIRKU
(Abu Dhabi, UAE) based Satah Oil Processing Plant. A net saving of $ 55000.00.
 Simply tapering of Solar Panel foundations in the zone where anchor bolts were not required and
saved around 1 m^3 concrete in each foundation causing a net saving of around $ 560,000.00
to company. (Project for Catholic Protection of ADCO Wells casings - around 1072 wells.)
 In the same project, proposal of using a common foundation for RTU and Junction Box caused
100 % reduction in Number of foundation & Steel supports and a drastic reduction in Cable and
its trench lengths. It led to an overall saving of more than a million dollar.

AT CH2M Hill, Canada
 JKC, Australia: Ichthys LNG project Power Plant
Reporting to Deputy Project Director, My role as a package Project Manager is to take the lead
and focal point position for the commercial and technical management of fabrication of around
6000 T of modularized steel pipe racks with piping and insulation at Hyundai workshops in South
Korea. It is US$ 700 Million - 800MW Combined Cycle power plant (5 GTG’s and 3STG’s) for an
LNG project in Darwin Australia. It included commercial performance, quality, schedule
compliance, technical compliance, innovation, site support, and delivery to site. I was a focal point
between vendor and the design, procurement, transportation / shipping and construction functions
of the project. , my role was to sort out all technical and logistics issues to ensure timely
shipment of modules to site in Darwin from South Korea. It was aimed at management of delivery
project management services related to project engineering and procurement. Conducted home
office constructability reviews prior to mobilizing to the field and assisted home office Engineering
manager from time to time to conduct pre-IFC module readiness assessments. Coordinated with
Home Office Engineering team to collaboratively resolve design queries.
Suncor EnergyCanada : Fort Hills Project: Water Treatment Plant Building
 Reporting to project engineer/manager, my role was to carry out structural design of all post
construction modification / field support works including underground pipe supports, manhole
covers etc.
City of Calgary
 Bonny brook WWTP Upgradation: Reporting to project manager/Engineer my role was to carry
out all aspects of Civil/ Structural design and vibration free demolition and installations of 2000
HP Blower foundations and other associated structures.
 Spy Hill SVE Blower Upgradation: C/S support for various post construction issues.
Trans Canada Pipelines : Proposals for Compressor Station for TCPL
Husky Energy : Construction support for Husky Sunrise Project
Statoil : Construction support for Statoil Oil processing facility
Devon Corporation: Alliance projects for Devon Corporation’s Jackfish 1, Jackfish 2 and
Jackfish 3 Oil processing SAGD plants including associated pipelines.
 At Devon Corporation, Canada
 Jackfish 3 Project: 1.2 Billion US$ SAGD project in Christina Lake: Project includes a
central processing facility 5 pads and associated pipelines.
 Ferrier Project :
330 Million $ project for Oil and Gas processing plant in Ferrier near Rocky Mountain House
containing shallow Cut, Deep Cut and processing areas. Ambitious Pilot plan for Devon to
transport the product to transport gas to West coast.
 Jackfish Tank Terminal
 $220 million plant to build 1 Million barrel capacity storage tank farm facility to pool the oil from
various Devon jackfish plants.
 Other Alliance projects
 Installation of SRU units at all Jackfish facilities to meet regulatory requirement on sulfur
emissions along with other debottlenecking projects for Jackfish 1 and jackfish 2 projects.

At CH2M Hill, Canada
 Vankor Oil Field Development , Russia: Total $3.3 Billion Development in Permafrost
Siberia region: Project includes a central processing facility 5 pumping stations and a 550 KM
long pipeline along with 22 well pads (Total 321 Well).
 This portion is 330 Million $ component of the above project. Major activities being performed
by me are: Review of FEED, Estimation of man-hours, and preparation of DBM, Detailed
engineering design for in place, lifting and transportation loads. Dynamic analysis and design
for dynamic loads originating out of high speed Rotating machines, wind Vortex shedding and
earthquake (Seismic activities). Over all engineering coordination between Client Roseneft,
Russian National Design Company NTC, other consultant SNC Lavalin (UK) and Kluster
Consultants of Moscow.
 Johns Manville Expansion Project, Innisfail, Alberta (70 Million US$): Estimation of Man-hours,
List of deliverables, Scope of the work for Geotechnical Investigation and Topographical
survey, Specifications, and Detailed design of Steel Structures, Piling and other Reinforced
Concrete foundations, Review of Shop Drawings, construction Engineering etc. were my
responsibilities. Project completed within estimates and budgeted man-hours which is a very
rare in current labor and material scenario in Alberta.
 Trans Canada Pipeline Ltd. - Edson Gas Storage Facilities: My involvement was to carry out
detailed design of Equipment Foundations, Design Audit and troubleshooting during
construction phase.
 Miscellaneous Modification/Expansion projects from Duke Energy, Conoco Phillips etc.:
Installation of Compressor stations etc.: My involvement so far is limited to preparation of civil
package of the proposal to the client.
 Shell Canada AOSP Downstream Expansion Project (Methane Reformer Building): Carried
out Estimation, Provided Basic Engineering Support and 3-D modeling for UHDE Germany.
 ZADCO, UAE: Satah Full Field Development Project FEED: Estimated Man-hours and other
civil engineering inputs for the proposal
 ADCO: SAS Full Field Development Project, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Estimated Man-hours and other
civil engineering inputs for the proposal
At NPCC Abu Dhabi
 Prepared a Civil/Structural package of Tender (latest for OGDIII project of US$ 360 Million),
Carried out Design of Pipe Racks, Control buildings, foundations for compressor, pumps,
exchangers, columns, tanks and other pressure vessels, chimneys, platforms etc. as required in
Oil & Gas and petrochemical plants for the following projects.
 Satah Plant Modifications (ZADCO): Lead Civil / Structural Engineer (Tender Package –
Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering). The project contained two packages:
 Work Package 1: Satah Dehydration/Desalting and Sour Water Treatment facilities in which
work involved was Structural design of foundations of Desalter Skids, Vertical Desalter FEED
Pumps, Sour Water Stripper Column, Stripper FEED Filters along with other general Civil
Structural works like Pipe racks, T- Post Pipe Supports etc. Total Package cost was $ 80
Million.
 Work Package 2: This $70 Million Package consisted of installation of a Stand By/ by pass
Export Gas Compressor unit and included a 4.6 MW Compressor, Knock out Drums, Suction
Scrubbers, Discharge Gas Cooler (Air Fin Cooler) and Trim Cooler along with other
associated accessories.
 Unleaded Gasoline/Low Sulphur Gas Oil (ULG/LSGO) project for Umm Al Nar Refinery Abu
Dhabi, UAE (TAKREER):Discipline Engineer specifically to Design its Blast Resistant Control
Room Building.
 Cathodic Protection of ADCO Well Casings (ADCO): Lead Civil/Structural Engineer
 (Tender Package – Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering)
 Onshore Facilities at Juyamah: for Saudi Aramco: Lead Civil Engineer (Tender Package –
Construction Engineering)
 Replacement of 5 Nos. 20” water Injection Trunk lines for ADMA OPCO: Lead Civil/Structural
Engineer ( Tender Package – Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering )
 ADCO on Shore Gas Development Project (OGD III): Lead Engineer for preparation of
Civil/Structural Inputs for Tender package of $ 360 Million: Company won the contract. It
involved development of 50 No. of Production well heads , 30 number of Re-Injection
Wellheads, 6 Number of Remote Manifold Stations(RMS) , re-injection Launcher and receiver
stations for 5 trunk lines, Burn Pits, Flare areas.
My role as Lead Civil/Structural Engineer included detailed Design of Compressor
Foundation, Extension of Blast Resistant Local Equipment Room, Substation design,
Equipment foundations, Valve Manifold Platforms, Pipe Racks and Modifications to existing
Structures and under Ground facilities along with general civil structural works described in
the summery of experience on the first page. I acted as overall Engineering Coordinator in
absence of Project Engineering Manager and successfully coordinated between client,
consultant and sub-contractors.
AT TECHNIP Malaysia
 Kuantan Waste Water Treatment and Debottleneck Plant for BP – AMOCO: A $70 Million
project in which I carried out Detailed design of Compressor Foundation, RC Foundation
and Steel super structure for Filter Press, Sludge Silo, Storage Tanks, Substation, Pump
Foundations, Pipe racks, Access platforms, RCC & Steel Staircases.
 Petronas Second Refinery Modifications (PSR2) Melaka for Petronas. : A $ 20 Million
Project to install fire water Line, Foam water line, Remote Elevated Monitors, Fire walls,
Sprinkler system on Tanks, Pumps etc. My role was to prepare a tender package, Detailed
engineering of all associated civil/structural works.
 Petlin Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE) Project Kerteh: My role as a discipline Engineer
was to carry out detailed engineering design of Administrative Office, Control Room Building,
Pipe Racks, Administrative Building, and Storage warehouse. I was deputed to Vantage
Fabrication yard to coordinate between design office and mod yard to
troubleshoot/supervise/inspect the steel fabrication work also.
 Goro Nickel Project : New Caledonia
 Asia Silicon Ltd Thailand. – Tender package
 Betara Gas Field Development Project Indonesia – Tender Package
 Asia THF/POLY THF Project Kaojing China for BASF – Tender package
AT Maunsell Malaysia (AECOM)
 Design of Pahang Cement Plant, Bukit Sagu, Malaysia .( on deputation to YTL Malaysia)
 Design/coordination of Vima Flour Mill, Vietnam.
 Design of Sutera Harbor Business & Resort Hotel Kota Kina Balu , Malaysia (13 story building
for Nishimatsu-Corpro)
 Design of Sarawak security building (a 33 story building with Barret piles by Bachey & unique
upside –down construction. Design of Turbo Generator Foundations of Sonipat Thermal
Power Plant and monitoring of its post construction behavior.
AT SERC INDIA
 Structural analysis of Tajmahal the world famous monument, with a 3-D FEM modeling
including fracture mechanics studies on cracks Propagation. COSMOS/M FEM software was
used.
 Strength assessmentand rehabilitation of fire ruined Turbine Foundations of Narora Atomic
Power Plant including its static and dynamic analysis.

 Expansion of Mathura Petroleum Refinery, India
 Guyed Tower Platform under random sea: Oil and Natural Gas Commission India.
 Design of Rajghat Thermal Power plant , New Delhi.(Parts)
 Dynamic analysis of Park Royal Hotel in New Delhi for Earthquake loads.
 Design of `The Statesman House’: a peculiar 17 story circular building with ring beams
carrying floating columns of 17 floors.

Ambitious Pilot plan for Devon to transport the product to transport gas to West coast.  Jackfish Tank Terminal  $220 million plant to build 1 Million barrel capacity storage tank farm facility to pool the oil from various Devon jackfish plants.  Other Alliance projects  Installation of SRU units at all Jackfish facilities to meet regulatory requirement on sulfur emissions along with other debottlenecking projects for Jackfish 1 and jackfish 2 projects. 

At CH2M Hill, Canada  Vankor Oil Field Development , Russia: Total $3.3 Billion Development in Permafrost Siberia region: Project includes a central processing facility 5 pumping stations and a 550 KM long pipeline along with 22 well pads (Total 321 Well).  This portion is 330 Million $ component of the above project. Major activities being performed by me are: Review of FEED, Estimation of man-hours, and preparation of DBM, Detailed engineering design for in place, lifting and transportation loads. Dynamic analysis and design for dynamic loads originating out of high speed Rotating machines, wind Vortex shedding and earthquake (Seismic activities). Over all engineering coordination between Client Roseneft, Russian National Design Company NTC, other consultant SNC Lavalin (UK) and Kluster Consultants of Moscow.  Johns Manville Expansion Project, Innisfail, Alberta (70 Million US$): Estimation of Man-hours, List of deliverables, Scope of the work for Geotechnical Investigation and Topographical survey, Specifications, and Detailed design of Steel Structures, Piling and other Reinforced Concrete foundations, Review of Shop Drawings, construction Engineering etc. were my responsibilities. Project completed within estimates and budgeted man-hours which is a very rare in current labor and material scenario in Alberta.  Trans Canada Pipeline Ltd. - Edson Gas Storage Facilities: My involvement was to carry out detailed design of Equipment Foundations, Design Audit and troubleshooting during construction phase.  Miscellaneous Modification/Expansion projects from Duke Energy, Conoco Phillips etc.: Installation of Compressor stations etc.: My involvement so far is limited to preparation of civil package of the proposal to the client.  Shell Canada AOSP Downstream Expansion Project (Methane Reformer Building): Carried out Estimation, Provided Basic Engineering Support and 3-D modeling for UHDE Germany.  ZADCO, UAE: Satah Full Field Development Project FEED: Estimated Man-hours and other civil engineering inputs for the proposal  ADCO: SAS Full Field Development Project, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Estimated Man-hours and other civil engineering inputs for the proposal At NPCC Abu Dhabi  Prepared a Civil/Structural package of Tender (latest for OGDIII project of US$ 360 Million), Carried out Design of Pipe Racks, Control buildings, foundations for compressor, pumps, exchangers, columns, tanks and other pressure vessels, chimneys, platforms etc. as required in Oil & Gas and petrochemical plants for the following projects.  Satah Plant Modifications (ZADCO): Lead Civil / Structural Engineer (Tender Package – Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering). The project contained two packages:  Work Package 1: Satah Dehydration/Desalting and Sour Water Treatment facilities in which work involved was Structural design of foundations of Desalter Skids, Vertical Desalter FEED Pumps, Sour Water Stripper Column, Stripper FEED Filters along with other general Civil Structural works like Pipe racks, T- Post Pipe Supports etc. Total Package cost was $ 80 Million.  Work Package 2: This $70 Million Package consisted of installation of a Stand By/ by pass Export Gas Compressor unit and included a 4.6 MW Compressor, Knock out Drums, Suction Scrubbers, Discharge Gas Cooler (Air Fin Cooler) and Trim Cooler along with other associated accessories.  Unleaded Gasoline/Low Sulphur Gas Oil (ULG/LSGO) project for Umm Al Nar Refinery Abu Dhabi, UAE (TAKREER):Discipline Engineer specifically to Design its Blast Resistant Control Room Building.  Cathodic Protection of ADCO Well Casings (ADCO): Lead Civil/Structural Engineer  (Tender Package – Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering)  Onshore Facilities at Juyamah: for Saudi Aramco: Lead Civil Engineer (Tender Package – Construction Engineering)  Replacement of 5 Nos. 20” water Injection Trunk lines for ADMA OPCO: Lead Civil/Structural Engineer ( Tender Package – Detailed Engineering – Construction Engineering )  ADCO on Shore Gas Development Project (OGD III): Lead Engineer for preparation of Civil/Structural Inputs for Tender package of $ 360 Million: Company won the contract. My role as Lead Civil/Structural Engineer included detailed Design of Compressor Foundation, Extension of Blast Resistant Local Equipment Room, Substation design, Equipment foundations, Valve Manifold Platforms, Pipe Racks and Modifications to existing Structures and under Ground facilities along with general civil structural works described in the summery of experience on the first page. I acted as overall Engineering Coordinator in absence of Project Engineering Manager and successfully coordinated between client, consultant and sub-contractors. AT TECHNIP Malaysia  Kuantan Waste Water Treatment and Debottleneck Plant for BP – AMOCO: A $70 Million project in which I carried out Detailed design of Compressor Foundation, RC Foundation and Steel super structure for Filter Press, Sludge Silo, Storage Tanks, Substation, Pump Foundations, Pipe racks, Access platforms, RCC & Steel Staircases.  Petronas Second Refinery Modifications (PSR2) Melaka for Petronas. : A $ 20 Million Project to install fire water Line, Foam water line, Remote Elevated Monitors, Fire walls, Sprinkler system on Tanks, Pumps etc. My role was to prepare a tender package, Detailed engineering of all associated civil/structural works.  Petlin Low Density Poly Ethylene (LDPE) Project Kerteh: My role as a discipline Engineer was to carry out detailed engineering design of Administrative Office, Control Room Building, Pipe Racks, Administrative Building, and Storage warehouse.
