Co-curricular activities are those activities which
are arranged inside or outside the school to
achieve certain objectives.
In absence of these activities the children will
suffer from many gapes and hardships.
The development of physical mental emotional,
social, cultural, and spiritual aspects of
personality have to be ensured side by side.
These activities are served to promote abilities of
students. Who must attend and participate in all
curricular activities.

The activates should be selected after assessing
the needs of students. The activities which are
expensive and unpopular should be introduced.
Provding Facilities:
Necessary facilities like place, material, kids and
teacher for guidance should be ensured. The
activity should be arranged with in the available
resources.

Green roof-cistern-rain garden
Associated General Contractors from southern Alabama wanted help with their property, The class did a Charrette on how to improve their property. They worked on raods, pavillions, ponds, their were cash awards given to some of the teams, now they are following up and doing some of the suggestions.- Building sciences, Engineering, Forestry, Architecture, Liberal Arts
AGC went to development person, brought folks to the table( our office and select faculty) Came up with idea for design charrette, advertiesed for students, brought htem together on teams, applied to be part of this competition. It was a day long thing on a Saturday in the fall. There were other faculty and staff members that were there as resources, AGC was there to interact as well. Students presented and then ACG selected.

Our Office Renovation-
Architecture-built this space out as a class project and now we are in it. – 2 semesters
Paula Peek Interior design, 1 semester, did a design charette for this space.
In our experience we have found
Timeline- 1 semester vs longer., throughout the semester
Architecture remodel- 2 semesters
Office redesign- 1 semester
Impact volunteering- a day
Coordinated- don’t want to create more work for others (facilities), coordinate with operations folks and that it works for them CALL US- Not a must do (by facilities) Sustain-A-Bowl- meter reading
Reliability – reliability of students to get things done can vary Amazed at our interns this year with SAB, Awards program, and Office Certification
Interpersonal skills- We really appreciated how Paula Peek in Interior Design trained her students on how to interact with us. Professionalism, relationships
