Job Profile as a Planning Engineer-Oil & Gas Infrastructure Division at Kalpataru Power Transmission
Limited:-
Project Name: UCSPL LPG PIPELINE PROJECT
Diameter & Length: 10” & 12” Dia. & 166Km
Client: HPCL Consultant: Mott MacDonald Contractor: Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd.
As a Planning Engineer, I am capable of developing following:-
 To develop an Overall Project Master Schedule in Bar Chart by indicating Unit wise Schedules based on
Owner's Time Schedule.
 Preparation of a Summarized Overall Project Schedule comprising Main Project Milestones after taking
care of total Scope of Work & integrating all Executing Agency’s Schedules.
 Preparation & Finalization of Level -I Schedule (Overall Project Schedule) & Level -II Schedules (Functional
Schedules Viz. Process, Engineering, Ordering, Tendering, Manufacturing & Delivery and Construction).
 Monitoring of all Project activities of various Executing Agencies.
 Resource (Man-hour/Manpower/Machine & Materials) planning.
 Preparation of Monthly / Weekly / Daily Progress Reports.
 Preparation of Presentation Slides to convene Project Review Meetings, to be attended by Client & PMC,
analysing Critical Areas/Problems and identifying Corrective Action Plan.
 Setting up detailed Progress Measurement / Earned Value Management System for all type of contracts.
 Assist Project Manager in Qualitative & Quantitative Risk Analysis.
 Assist Project Manager in managing changes / variations.
 Organize & Attend Monthly Progress Review Meetings for finalizing Activity List & Highlighting Holdups &
Slippage.
 Coordination & follow-up between different Departments.
 Preparation of Engineering Billing Schedule based on Drawings/Document flow, Supply-billing schedule
based on item/equipment delivery schedules & Construction Billing Schedule based on Quantities and
raising Invoices based on progress of the work.
 Preparation of Cash Flow analysis, Material status report (Piping Material, and Analyse potential &
imminent delays and develop action plan for eliminating delays.
 Monitor & control all cost elements on each activity of work, which includes preparation of claims to
clients & payments to suppliers & sub-contractors.
 Change Order analysis by keeping track of extra & additional efforts required during project execution &
Budget analysis, Preparation of Contract documents.
 Ensuring timely engineering inputs & supply of Equipment/Materials to site for completion of the job
without time / cost overruns.
 Estimation of Manpower/ Equipment requirement at Head Office & Site. Keeping a track of Cost of
Materials/Equipment, alerting the management of possible overruns.
 Performing “What-if analysis” of various scenarios by crashing the schedule.
 Preparation and Updating of Material control chart for Project.
 Follow up for Fabrication status for execution.
 Co-ordination with client for approval of procedures & testing (Mechanical).
 Evaluation and approval of sub-contractor invoices.
 Coordinating with Client for any planning related information.
 Forecast front availability and intimating the same to Site in charge.
 Finding out the constraints and critical activities.
 Preparation of Field Inspection report for the daily activity.
 Pipe Book Preparation & Checking.
 Erection, commissioning and installation of pipelines.
 Quality Inspection of Daily works.
 Contractor billing certification.
 Inspection of erected materials as per drawing & standards.
