2. In 1934, at the height of the Great Depression, Charles
Darrow of Germantown, Pennsylvania, showed
representatives of Parker Brothers project of the game
Monopoly. The project was rejected due to "52 design
errors", but that did not stop Charles unemployed, who
decided to release the game on their own.
With the help of a friend Charles Darrow produced and
sold 5,000 copies homemade "monopoly" in Philadelphia
department store. After some time, he could no longer
cope with the increased demand, and decided to turn again
to the representatives of Parker Brothers. Monopoly went
down in history - in 1935 it became the best-selling game in
the United States .
To date, the number of playing Monopoly exceeded half a
billion people. In the world of commercial competition
held (including world championships) on the game
Monopoly with substantial prize pools.
3. Players alternately throwing the dice and make
