Led team of 5 people to redesign “Ideal Rig” (most successful land rig ever designed at NOV) to capitalize on new
market opportunity. Given extremely aggressive 6-week timeline to design new drilling structure; successfully delivered
project on time and on spec. Company sold 20 redesigned rigs, generating over $560 MM. New rig now sold worldwide.
Initiated design book to ensure API audit criteria are met, maintaining NOV’s right to use API monogram on 200+ rigs.
Led communications with plants in Mexico, Canada and China to ensure production consistency worldwide.

Engineered several cold-climate oil rigs sold for $160 MM collectively. Coordinated directly with customers to facilitate

Supervised disassembling process of Ideal Rig at plant during first-time rig up and final shipping to customers. Implemented
procedural improvements based on customer feedback.
Reduced Ideal Rig relocation time procedures by 33%. Created “relocation plan” that maximized use of available
resources at rig sites and minimized unproductive time based on new man-hour approach.
