In the 15 years I have worked at Volvo I have progressed my career from a part qualified Financial
Accountant to Business Controller. I work continuously with pride, passion, determination and
commitment. These characteristics have earned me the respect of many senior managers within the
Volvo Group.

Achievements and responsibilities:
● Designed and implemented a new ROCE model for the Retail Business.
● Redesigned and led a Retail Finance training day for all the Depot Managers of RTC.
● Implemented a consistent result summary report for the Retail Business, including Renault.
● Designed and implemented standard reports for Volvo CAS, giving visibility on the result and

Achievements and responsibilities:
● Assisted MD to identify areas of focus.
● Ensured commercial and financial viability of any business proposals and checked that they
complied with Volvo Accounting Policy and Procedures. Proposals I was involved in
included; New depot at Kettering; New depot at Stoney Stanton; Transfer of work from
Bedford to Milton Keynes; Acquisition of Bus depot at Loughborough; Opening a parts call
centre in Coventry
● Compile and issue Board Papers and attend meetings with the CEO and CFO of Volvo
Trucks.
● Take part in quarterly meetings to discuss strategy and ways to improve the business.

Took part in the budget review meetings with the MD and FD and helped to challenge the
regional management teams.

Produced a monthly information pack for the Executives of VTBS to keep them up to date

Assisted the MD in co-ordinating a Best Practice exercise across the 4 regions. I challenged
the Regional Management Team on their 4 year plan to bring their business in line with

Facilitated a workshop to discuss ways of reducing operating capital.
