Title: Analysis of a social phenomenon involving design.
Objectives
- Learn to identify a social phenomenon.
- Learn to analyze a social phenomenon.
- Learn how to use desk research tools.
- Learn to use qualitative research tools.
Statements
Considering that one of the main objectives of this subject is to learn how to develop a
sociological viewpoint, we propose as an exercise to analyze a social phenomenon
where design intervenes (issues related to social networks, public space, architecture of
the university itself, tools or software that we use in the day-to-day, spaces of the
house itself, etc.).
Development
Phase 1: Definition of the objective of the work and the scenario to be analysed
Phase 2: Search for sources and references
Phase 3: Organization of information
Phase 4: Presentation of the analysis
Delivery format
The presentation format will be a short article of maximum 2000 words including APA
reference sources and illustrative images.
Particular value will be placed on clarity of presentation, originality, rigour and the
choice of sources of information.
