Riparian Zone Retreat Jonathan Finger Biology 1 Pd. 5
Niche of The Bald Eagle Haliaeetusleucocephalus It is native to the North America and originally bred from Central Alaska and Northern Canada.  They live anywhere on the North American continent where there are adequate trees and food supplies.  Open water such as a lake or ocean is a necessity.  It hunts from the air and eats many small to medium in size mammals and eats a lot of fish.  It has a large nest, the largest .  Is currently on the Endangered Species list.  It s babies have problems in their egg form because of chemicals we put in their environment.  When they mate they make gestures and create usually three eggs.  The Eagles become partners for life.   They mate each year usually in a time where their eggs in the 5-6 incubation period have the best chance of hatching.   Their habitat is killed by poacher s and pollution with is causing the species to go extinct.  They live in an environment that has some very high elevations and mild to cold temperatures.  They are amazing animals.  One stays by the nest and keeps the eggs and safe and the other goes and hunts for prey to eat.  It also is our Country Bird and is on many of our emblems.

Water Testing & Data Analysis The levels mean for oxygen is that you want the highest possible, for nitrates you want the lowest possible, for ph you want an even 7 and for phosphates you need the lowest possible to have a very successful, healthy stream.  My animal eats a lot fish which if the stream is polluted my animal will be out of it’s primary food source.  You want a low clear turbidity and a lower temperature in the 40’s and 50’s.
Stream Quality Data & Analysis   It shows that a lot of factors came into play when figuring out the number of organisms.  One including is the habitat which gave the groups a big diversity in their findings.  It also shows that group one got a lot more because of where they were and how they got it.  The more organisms, the healthier the stream.  When I researched it showed that my organism will prefer the habitat with the most organisms.
Positive & Negative Factors My animal, the Bald Eagle would most likely want to live in the current stream rather then, the marsh or the AMD.  Reasons why is because my animal relies on water a lot.  For it’s food and hydration, and if it is the Marsh or the AMD, my creature would probably die for a number of reasons.  If it lived by Powder mill stream because of the food sources and water quality it would probably thrive in that situation.  Common pollutions would be Acid Mine Drainage, and putting to much nitrates in our precious water sources.  We should prevent and limit the number of pollutants we put in the water so we can conserve our ECO-SYSTEM.  If we follow these guidelines and which will ultimately help my animal in it’s survival, The Bald Eagle.
Conclusion I learned the number of pollutants that can harm the environment and if it is and is not harmed, the positive and negative impacts it has on the environment.  The types of organisms there are is very interesting. The HOAX global warming.
