OUR NAME
Levona is the name given in Biblical times to
Frankincense. In old Hebrew it means milk or white
by the appearance of the resin when it emanates
from the tree. When burnt in the First and Second
Temples produced a scent that symbolized the
Divine Name (Malachi 1:11).
In the Old Testament God ordered Moses and Aaron
to use Levona every day in the altar (Exodus 30:34)
and in the New Testament Levona is mentioned as
one the presents, with gold and myrrh that the
Three Wise Men brought to baby Jesus. (Matthew
2:11).
