1. Welcome to CCSD
The Consultative Center for Studies and Documentation
Information and Library Department

2. ❑ A specialized scientific institution, founded in1988, with
the aim of rationalizing, guiding, and following up
public issues at the local, regional, and international
levels, and analyzing the events and issues and of the
region as well as the concerns and preoccupations of
the contemporary world.
❑ CCSD concerned with developmental and strategic
researches and studies.
❑ The center accumulates a large database classified
according to the latest methods and technical and
scientific means.

3. CCSD Database
Well designed database contains 1500000 material collected
from more than 500 resources:
1) news papers,
2) journals
3) periodicals.
4) Research institutions.
5) International
Mainly Arabic, and less in English and French.

4. CCSD library
It contains approximately 46,000 titles processed within the
internationally approved documentary assets of indexing and
classification, and content analysis has been unified with all
documents processed in the center, whether in the analysis of
scraps or books and documents, with the aim of unifying the
outputs of the information bank, and it works according to the
systems approved in organizing Libraries from Dewey
classification to descriptive indexing. The content is also
analyzed in the same way as press clippings. All contents of the
book that have scientific value are scrutinized. The library
receives the beneficiaries and provides them with lending
services as well as the Internet. The library contains a collection
of 46,000 titles carefully selected to have research and
reference value within the Center's previously mentioned
interests.However, after the recent war on Lebanon, the library
and the center were subjected to a complete destruction and
its library was completely burned as a result. With the end of
the war, he began rebuilding the library, as it now contains
12,000 printed titles and 12,500 electronic titles, and the
process of replenishing the library is still going on.
