Project Description: The Britannia field is one of the largest known remaining
gas fields in the U.K. brought onto production. With estimated gas reserves
of 3 trillion cubic feet, the field produces enough gas to meet at least eight
percent of the country’s current energy needs.
Scope of Work: Our SOW included the construction engineering, fabrication,
load out & sea fastening of the jacket. During the fabrication of this jacket we
performed what it is until now our heaviest lift. The lift consisted of 10,000 tons
simultaneous roll up of the two external rows. To perform such maneuver we
used a train of cranes together with jacks installed in the erected internal rows.
The jacket’s final dimensions were 78m x 70m x 165m.
BRITANNIA

ORESUND

Project Description: The project consists in construction of a road to link the
cities of Copenhagen (Denmark) and Malmoe (Sweden). The development
starts with a submerged tunnel, emerging on an artificial island, which leads
to a 7 km bridge.
Scope of Work: Our SOW consisted on the construction engineering, pro-
curement, fabrication, load out & transportation of the 49 spans of composite
steel/concrete structure. The final dimensions of each span were 25 meters
x 140 meters, with a final total weight for the 49 spans of 245,000 Tons. The
transportation was performed in 25 shipments (every 21 days) with 2 spans per
shipment with each span weighing approximately 5,000 tons.

SNORRE B

Project Description: The Snorre B floater is an integrated production, drilling
and quarters (PDQ) unit. Processed oil is transported via a 30-kilometre pipe-
line to Statoil’s Statfjord B fixed platform for storage and offloading. Recover-
able reserves in the Snorre B area are estimated at about 365 million barrels of
oil. Production capacity stands at approximately 110,000 barrels per day.
Scope of Work: Our SOW consisted on the construction engineering, partial
procurement, fabrication, load out and sea fastening of the semi submersible
hull. The final dimensions of the hull were 85mx85mx45m.
According to the OTC 2002 paper 14224, the Snorre B Hull is “the most com-
plete hull ever delivered from a yard. Less than 1 % of the total hull work was
carry over.”
