LAYWi roadmap - Success and Happiness in life!

  1. 1. Manage your Life with a Plan www.laywi.com By LAYWi Personal Development, Career and Life Self Awareness Self Profiling Self Actualisa:on
  2. 2. Life As you want it
  3. 3. You have to dream before your dreams can come true. Understand: Establish Direc:on Self Awareness 1
  4. 4. If one does not know to which port one is sailing, You don't want to dri3 from one choice to another! You do not want circumstances to decide for you! Make a conscious choice. Devote :me to it and not jump to conclusion. You just have one life and one of you. Look in past, present and imagine the future. Ques:on what makes you happy and excited? no wind is favorable.
  5. 5. Being human some part of us is hardwired via our DNA while others part is leG to us to shape. The hardwiring in us are not always good but is essen:al when it comes to survival but as soon as survive and exist -‐ we are full of desires and expecta:ons and they run our lives. One of the overarching desire is to be successful (seeking happiness) and happy (seeking success) -‐ success not just in monetary terms but in general as desired result. Our happiness depends on our success (achieving desired results like security, respect and other materialis:c ameni:es while being consistent with ourselves) and our success dependents on our happiness (ability to engage in something wholeheartedly and consciously) but key lies in crea:ng our defini:on of success and not taking a readymade or socially defined one.
  6. 6. Reason for doing our own defini:on is -‐ 1. Ability to give 100% to one's own defini:on due to internal belief system backing it and ability to do it happily. 2. Taking up readymade defini:on would always seem to be task which you are undertaking, at end of which you would get result leading to happiness. But would be temporary happiness as we never enjoyed the journey to result and would never be fulfilling. Assuming happiness and success are flip side of same coin, we would address to both as happiness only going forward.
  7. 7. Happiness is what we all seek even when we are sad, we are seeking happiness (by missing it). Happiness can be categories using Maslow hierarchy fairly well: Ø Starts with basic needs hardcoded in our DNA -‐ Food, Drink, sleep Ø Once basic needs are meet, we move up to safety -‐ self, family, health, belongings. Ø Once we feel secure we move on to Love and belonging Ø Once that is sa:sfied we want to recognised in social circle we belong at least -‐ respect / esteem from fellow beings with live and work with. Ø Finally once all of above are meet -‐ we reach a self actualized / true happiness landscape where we give due importance to morality, crea:vity and self existence! So happiness could be summarized to: Ø Security -‐ Financial and Social Ø Well-‐being -‐ Physical, Spiritual, Psychological and Rela:onships Ø Respect -‐ Professional and righteous behaviour We would assume, to be happy -‐ one would be well placed in each of quadrant above. Since we individual (unique), you balance would require a unique but it starts with knowing oneself honestly at point blank -‐ easier said then since we know our mind has a mind of its own which can create stories to convenience us of things.
  8. 8. Clarify with yourself your choices to make sure that they are not just vogue or influence! Challenge any doubts you have in mind and have 100% buy-‐in from yourself. Don’t force but engage and involve yourself. Once you have clarified, you would see surge in commitment and dedica:on. You may want to call it your VISION!. Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direc:on. WHY YOU WANT “WHAT” YOU WANT IN LIFE ?
  9. 9. WORKSHEET Where do you see yourself in 10 to 15 years :me? What would you be doing then professionally? How would your family life look? How would your social life look?
  10. 10. USING LAYWi STEP 1: Sign up STEP 2: Login and navigate STEP 3: Ta da – Your personal Vision editor.
  11. 11. Vision which is essen:ally your dream, your desired world, important thoughts & ideas for which you are willing to put in substan:al effort, take risk, go extra mile and make sacrifices. Create yours at LAYWi
  12. 12. Science behind The two brain theory: Frontal lobe and limbic The frontal lobe, involved in conscious thought and higher mental func5ons such as decision-‐making, plays an important part in processing short-‐term memories and retaining longer term memories which are not task-‐based. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com The limbic system supports a variety of func5ons, including emo5on, behaviour, mo5va5on, long-‐term memory, and olfac5on. It appears to be primarily responsible for emo5onal life, and it has a great deal to do with the forma5on of memories.
  13. 13. 2 Affirm: Evaluate Yourself He not busy being born is busy dying!
  14. 14. Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment. Knowing: what you have in your life, what adds value and what sucks life out is start of it. • Define all important areas • Define what makes them up Write down the parameter which would make the situa:on ideal for each of important areas. Evaluate your current standing against ideal standings. Make a conscious choice… what you want to improve and what you want to shun! EVALUATE: Yourself, what's important to you, What you do!
  15. 15. Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you. Priori:se what ma_er and adds value! See the GAP clearly where you stand today and what is your ideal standing. The most important thing in life is knowing the most important things in life. Breakdown into small steps and focus! Most of us spend too much :me on what is urgent and not enough :me on what is important! PRIORITISE: What needs attention and what’s needs rejection!
  16. 16. WORKSHEET What are the most important areas in your life? What makes up each of the areas your list above? How would you evaluate each? How would you strike a balance in all important areas of life?

  18. 18. Define yourself to arrive at current standing in each of the important area of your life, giving you mirrored view of your life so you can start on journey of changing what needs to be changed and enjoy what is already ideal.
  19. 19. Science behind Humans are more than just conscious—they are also self-‐aware. www.laywi.com Difference: Consciousness is awareness of one’s body and one’s environment; Self-‐awareness is recogni:on of that consciousness—not only understanding that one exists, but further understanding that one is aware of one’s existence. Another way of thinking about it: To be conscious is to think; to be self-‐aware is to realize that you are a thinking being and to think about your thoughts. Mind has a mind of its OWN.
  20. 20. 3 PLAN: Identify The Path, Simulate The Execution Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.
  21. 21. Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be. IDENTIFY: The GAP Mind the GAP You know what you want in life (Establish Direc:on) You know who you are, what are your strengths, weaknesses and what’s missing!(Evaluate Yourself) Visualize the GAP, Analyze the GAP, Summarize the GAP! Break the needs into long term, mid term and immediate! between where you are today and where you want to be!
  22. 22. A Journey of a thousand miles, Begins with a single step! MAKE a plan. S:ck to purpose and not plan. Plan invariably change with setbacks. Simulate the journey. O3en! Habitual-‐lize. List the resources you would require. Find the building blocks, the stepping stones! Decide the Price you are willing to Pay! Make a conscious choice… Go for it knowingly. BRIDGE THE GAP. Start!
  23. 23. Break down your Vision into Mission – 2 to 4 years ac:onable list! Break down each Mission into immediate objec:ve or goals! What are my other aden:on areas? WORKSHEET What and where are my big gaps?

  26. 26. Science behind The subconscious mind Your subconscious mind is like a huge memory bank. Its capacity is virtually unlimited. It permanently stores everything that ever happens to you. Your subconscious mind is an unques:oning servant that works day and night to make your behaviour fits a pa_ern consistent with your emo5onalized thoughts, hopes, and desires. All your habits of thinking and ac:ng are stored in your subconscious mind. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com
  27. 27. ENERGISE: Build your character Complete the Story It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.
  28. 28. We become what we repeatedly do. Combina:on of Our Habits = Our Character. ! *VALUE SYSTEM! Work on LIFE… Step 1: Guiding Principles à Thoughts Step 2: Approach to Life à Ac:ons Step 3: Execu:on à Habit Your ac:ons become your habits, Your habits become your values, Your values become your des:ny. SWOT YOURSELF: * Set of morals, ethics, standards, preferences, belief systems and world views that come together through self-‐organizing principles to define an individual, a group or a culture.
  29. 29. Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't. Today Its all about : JOURNEY Vision LIVE: YOUR DREAMS. Make a habit out of turning dreams into reality. But Define the GAP between reality now and Dream! Understand the yourself, your environment and your dreams (goals)! AND THE COST of journey! Complete your story Visually and Factually and Earnestly. Then live the Story!
  30. 30. What are your habits in each important areas? Go for top 3 in each. What's the ac:on plan? WORKSHEET What links you and your Dream together? Have a story, Complete. When going gets tough, tough get going! What’s your value system?

  32. 32. Nothing plays more important part in your life then your character which in turn depends on hardcore beliefs and habits which a human can cul:vate. And your character is resultant of your Value System. So build our value system consciously. Everyone tries to define this thing called Character. It's not hard. Character is doing what's right when nobody's looking.
  33. 33. Science behind Mind remembers stories (not bullet points) and associate them with things and happening around us. Mind has a mind of its OWN. www.laywi.com
  34. 34. ACT: Align & Achieve The best way to predict your future is to create it
  35. 35. I never worry about ac:on, but only inac:on. ALIGN & ACT: ACT ACT ACT Have a plan & Act – Act as per plan! Align the plan and Act Plans = good inten:ons; ACTION = hard work. Celebrate the success and Act! Ac:on is the real measure of intelligence. Ac:on and Mo:on are different things! Develop a sense of urgency. Remember: Every ACTION has equal and opposite REACTION; Be prepared for it.
  36. 36. Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there. Measure See the change; To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change o3en. Posi:ve or Nega:ve? If you do not change direc:on, you may end up where you are heading. Monitor Yourself; Your Ac:on; Your Results. MONITOR AND MEASURE: Mind the change; Measure the change!
  37. 37. What are your top project in next 6 months, 1 Year? Go for 1 in each important areas at least. Are they reflec:on of your Vision, Needs & Wants? Have a story, Complete. What are resources I need? They aligned? WORKSHEET What are the challenges in achieving them?
  38. 38. USING LAYWi STEP 1: Go to Align & Achieve, Project – Define you Measure . STEP 2: Go to Tools and Dashboard ! Monitor.
  39. 39. When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limita:ons, your consciousness expands in every direc:on, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, facul:es and talents become alive, and your discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.
