ZACHRY OVERVIEW
Zachry engages full-service EPC capabilities to deliver offerings
from project development and design to construction and
maintenance. As a family-owned, privately held company, we are
dedicated to the planning, building and renewing of emerging
energy, power, nuclear, cement, refining and pulp and paper
facilities. We are one of the largest direct-hire, merit-shop
contractors in the United States, and we bring a more than
85-year history to our broad range of experience. Across the
nation and overseas, our time-tested practices have led to nearly
6,000 completed projects for top industrial customers. Our San
Antonio-based organization has grown to include nearly 15,000
employees and more than 32 million workhours per year.
ZACHRY HIGH VOLTAGE
Zachry High Voltage provides EPC substation and switchyard
services to public and private customers throughout the United
States. With our standard design packages, we can modify and
deliver customized, site specific options for fast-track projects.
Many customers find leasing a needed substation financially
attractive. We also offer various EPC lease arrangements to
improve project viability.
Our staff leverages project design and technology development
resources from six engineering offices. Project management
and support services are based at Zachry’s Home Office with
regional offices aligned to meet customer needs. Our experience
in development, design, procurement, construction and
maintenance combine with Zachry’s construction-driven focus
to offer customers value—both in cost and peace-of-mind.
POWER MARKET EXPERIENCE
Throughout our 50-plus years in the power industry, we have
consistently provided our customers with open communication,
effective planning and unwavering integrity. Our cost-
effective, innovative construction methods and world-class
safety environment make us a preferred contractor for the
building and maintenance of fossil-fueled facilities. We have
constructed 110 major generating facilities that produce
nearly 54,000 megawatts of power. Delivering unique EPC
methods, operational support, maintenance, construction and
modifications, we have become a top-ranked name in
the industry.
EPC OPTIMIZATION THROUGH ZPEPP®
Zachry effectively coordinates critical work processes in
engineering, procurement and construction. We will align the
efforts of key players to define clear roles, responsibilities,
procedures, methods and performance criteria. Our team’s
early planning experience includes support during front-end
engineering, constructability process implementation, change
management process execution and integrated schedule
development. We realize the importance of front-end planning
and immediate integration with the project design team to
successfully execute an EPC job. Our Zachry Project Execution
Planning Process (ZPEPP®) and experienced scheduling teams
are in place to provide an accurate timetable now and to ensure
that there are no surprises later.

Engineering
Zachry Engineering Corporation expands on a 50-year history
to offer everything from engineering to startup. In a half-century,
our list of services has grown to include the planning and
execution of design, procurement and construction projects,
while we aim to save the customer time and money in the
complete EPC process.
Purchasing
We have a history of $75 million/year of electrical equipment
purchasing volume. Most importantly, we have excellent
relationships with all major manufacturers. This guarantees you
the best option of price and delivery.
Construction
Zachry’s Construction Group boasts a more than 85-year history
in the power, cement and refining markets, creating a tradition
of success from generation to generation. Our seasoned leaders
and skilled craft workers are our most important resources,
and their collective knowledge has led to multiple pioneering
successes.
Project Management
We offer a wide range of project management, consulting and
startup services across industries. We assist customers through
all stages of project execution from project development,
planning and permitting support to project management,
construction management and startup services.
Fabrication / Building
Zachry’s High Voltage Group offers EPC services for power
distribution centers (PDC) and skid-mounted products. The
100,000 square foot Lubbock Fabrication Facility brings together
equipment, installation, construction, fabrication, testing,
diagnostics and maintenance services. This manufacturing
facility provides greater assurance of the products being
executed on spec, on time, and on budget, while providing our
customers one company to deal with. Zachry is one of the few
companies in the United States to manufacture this type of
equipment.
Field Services
With a staff of the best field technical personnel in the industry,
we have extensive experience in executing complex startup
and cut-in procedures. We are also an industry leader in the
development and implementation of quality predictive and
preventive maintenance services.
