We now live in a global economy and marketplace
As transportation and telecommunication systems
improve, we become more connected in economic,
political, organizational, and personal terms.

Has lead to outsourcing. Businesses move to countries
where labor is cheap.
Many have multinational or international presence with
employees in different locations worldwide
Businesses also are present in developing nations

Have tried to spread NFL to countries in Europe, it was
very slow moving.
Only place outside North America that liked the NFL is
Germany. Had 5 of the 6 NFL Europe teams.
Some NFL teams have held games in London and
Canada.

Globalization has only stuck in Germany and Mexico.
Can’t keep fans in Asian market
Can’t get players from overseas due to lack of exposure

such as, age, race, income, education, etc.
Impact how we communicate, organize, and address
problems in our social world.
US is very different now than in past decades which
leads to different experiences as we encounter
organizations and communicate with them.

Changing demographics result in multicultural workplaces.
Challenge of treating those from different ethnic
backgrounds, races, ages, genders, disabilities, and
sexual orientations in ways that respect these differences.

to watch players maim eachother.

Believe the future NFL players will shift toward a
lower economic class
56 of 69 surveyed quarterbacks claim to have
grown up in middle class or above homes
Claim it is different for quarterbacks because of
the unique position, but that they too will start
coming from poorer backgrounds
19. Questions
How might this “ghettoization” of football impact the NFL
and its fans?
What extra steps could be taken to educate people on the
real risks and consequences of concussions and other
sports related injuries?
What can be done to minimize concussions? Could better
gear or better training prevent some of them?
