Project Experience
2. #1 A.I.M (A party (Subscriber) Information (Services and Balance) Management)
Client : Telenet N. V, Belgium
Types of testing: System testing, Regression Testing, Security Testing, User Interface testing
Test Design Techniques: Specification-Based, Structure-Based and Experience-Based
Testing Methods: Black-Box Testing, White-Box Testing
Standard followed: IEEE 29119-4
Role: Quality Control, Testing and Quality Assurance (Partially)
Duration: Jul 2014 to till date
Description: This application will be a single window interface for promoting any type of services to the
subscriber, this application provides the facility for Creating Campaign (Scheduler)
i.e., campaign can be created either Fulfillment Campaign (Providing a particular service to the
subscriber) or the Information Campaign (provide information about a particular service). Scheduler with
the help of Views pulls the required data into the fulfillment table, form where the promotions will be
posted.
Scheduler can be created for a particular period (hourly, daily, weekly, etc.…) depending on the rate at
which the data files are generated at client end and rate at which the benefits need to be posted.
Extract module extracts the data from a file from a remote location (data files are generated at client
end), Transfer module transfers the data of the file to a particular table in remote Database (i.e.…. table
called Temp table where the data is dumped) and finally Load module loads the required data into a
master table of target database with the help of View Execution.
The Fulfillment application (has 3 modules), in case of fulfillment will pick the data from the Master table
and promotes the requested services by hitting the IN node (the balance changes of the subscriber are
also done), in case of informative, provides information to the subscriber by the help of SMSC and finally
dumps the records in the necessary tables.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Involved in Requirement analysis, test cases design following the IEEE mainly Specification-Based,
Structure-Based (Data Flow Testing)
• Performed the role of Quality Control in testing the modules Extract, Transfer and Load using the
testing types System testing, Regression Testing
• Performed Non - Functional testing mainly Security Testing (Authentication, Authorization) and User
Interface testing on the UI , identified the defects and posted in the Quality Center
• Actively played the role of Quality Assurance in Test Plan phase mainly on to "Assumptions while
testing the application”, “List of test cases included in testing the application" and “List of features to
be tested".
• Involved in conducting Reviews on the Test cases and in execution of the user acceptance tests.
• Independently handled requirement tasks for the client
• Simulating and analyzing the reported Problem logs and incidents, with the error logs reported in
quality center and tracking them periodically.
