Job Responsibilities & Duties
• Conceptualizes the projects based on end users requirements and according to the project
budget and scope of work. Discuss technical and commercial options with end users and
finalize the project scope of work and submit the final recommendation to the management.
• Arrange preparation of scope of work, tender documents, bid proposals, project
specifications, technical documentation/drawings and contract terms and conditions in
coordination with the multi-discipline sections, consultants and contractors, end user
management team for all projects.
• Serve as Focal point for each project in hand. Act as interface between end users,

3. • Manage and monitor the progress of each project from conceptualization to design, tendering,
construction, commissioning and final hand over .Ensure appropriate co ordination of various
project activities in all different phases. Coordinate planning, design, engineering, technical
and quality controls, cost control etc to ensure timely s& smooth progress of work. Liaise with
other sections /departments and local authorities for their inputs or approval on various
project related issues to ensure smooth progress of project.
• Prepare update reports on design and engineering documents prepared by the engineering
section and consultants at different stages of project design ,review them with the end users
and department heads to ensure proper consideration is given to end users requirements,

end-user's requirements, and provide regular update to SPM. Hold regular site technical &
progress review meetings with consultants, contractors and suppliers and conduct inspection

• Reported to the Executive Director and managed the unit producing acrylic staple fibre (ASF)
through the wet spun process controlling a workforce of 400.
• Looked after production, maintenance, business development and marketing, budgeting and
cost control to achieve 130% capacity utilization.
• Improved processes achieving significant improvements in consumption ratios of major raw
materials against parameters guaranteed by Exlan the technical collaborator.
• Coordinated with All India Institute of Hygiene Kolkata and executed a project for
replacement of physio-chemical treatment of effluents with cyanide treatment through a
biodegradable process significantly reducing effluent treatment costs.
• Coordinated the indigenous development of a polymerization reactor including sourcing of
high purity aluminium from overseas and working with a resourceful fabricator.

chromatographic gel separation.
