This document contains a prayer for protection and peace at night called the Compline prayer. It consists of several short prayers and verses asking God for forgiveness, protection, and peace as one rests for the night. The prayer acknowledges God as a shield, light in darkness, hope in distress, and source of rest, security, and awakening. It asks for God's peace through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to be with the person praying.
