2. What are Rights?
• Justified claim.
• Citizens as individuals and as human beings.
• Collectively see as a source of self-respect
and dignity.
• Necessary for our well-being.
• Develop their talents and skills.

3. What do Rights come from?
• In 17th and 18th centuries, political theorises
argued that rights are given to us by nature or
god.
• Not conferred by ruler or a society.
• In recent years, the term human rights is
being used more than the term natural rights.
• Set norms that’s laid by nature or god.

4. • Over the world to challenge laws
which segregate them and deny them
equal opportunities and rights.
• Human rights which people claimed
has expanded over the years as
societies.
• Facing threats and challenges
everyday.

5. Legal Rights and the States
● A bill of right set down in the constitution of
many countries.
● In Indian we called fundamental rights.
● Rights which are mentioned in the
constitution would be those which are
considered to be of basic importance.

importance because of his history
and customs of a country.
• Most of cases are claimed rights are
directed towards the state.
• People makes demands upon the
state.

7. Types of Rights
1.Political Rights
● Rights are give to citizen.
● Right to equality before law & the right to
participate in the political process.
● This rights are supplemented by civil liberties.
● The basis of democratic system of government.

8. 2. Economic
● Basic needs are food ,shelter clothing, health
are part of economic.
● Unemployed person receive a certain wage so
that they can meet their basic need
● Some countries citizens, particularly those low
incomes, receive housing and medical facilities
from the state.

9. 3. Cultural Rights.
• More & more democracies are recognising the
cultural claims of their citizens.
• They have all right to follow
• They have right to established institutions for
teaching ones language and culture.
• In todays life it is necessary foe leading a
good life.
