2. ๏ก The opening sequence that we have created represents a clear social group of
stereotypical football hooligans. It was important that we used the correct props
and clothing to portray them as football hooligans, this is because if they weren't
dressed appropriately it would give the audience a different idea. Also then they
wouldnโt be able to understand what we as directors are trying to represent to
them, this could include social groups.
๏ก The research that we have done at the start has helped us represent football
hooligans. For example the clothing that the actors wear within our opening
sequence have been chosen specifically to create a sense of realism, in addition
to this it has helped us represent our social group, as football hooligans have
specific dress codes. The props that we have use also helps represent the social
group of football hooliganism, the props were cigarettes, and beer.
๏ก In football hooligan movies the characters are usually aged between 18-25 and
are British this is because its where it stated. Within movies and real life
hooligans are male this is because they are stereotypically seen as the stronger
and most violent gender by most people, this makes it suitable for our actor to all
be men

Our main character Sam needed to be dressed appropriately, as
he is the leader of the group and stands out from the rest of the
group. This is also because the first person the viewers will see is
him, Sam being dressed appropriately helps the audience
understand the genre of the movie. The screen shot on the top
left corner clearly shows that Sam is represented as a young
football hooligan, we know this because we see specific traits
that a football hooligan would have, such as the Adidas shoes
which is warn.
We have used Sam in the film because in every
football hooligan movies a leader is needed.
Within the movie the camera follows Sam , this
is what usually happens in football hooligan
movies. In addition to this we chose Sam as he
was the most suitable for this role out of me
(Kaan) and Owen. By choosing the correct
character we have made it more appealing for
our audience , as the film would be more realistic
. Another reason why Sam was suitable to be in
the movie is because he is male, this is because
football hooligan movies are made up of male
characters, as they are considered as violent and
strong gender.

Kaan on the left is part of the firm and is a
co-leader along with Owen on the right.
Both these characters are unique in their
own ways such as Owen he is the youngest
and shortest character in the firm, this goes
against a negative stereotype that only
strong people can become leaders as
individuals. However Kaan on the left is one
of the tallest and biggest in the group and
does not speak much words, but enjoys the
violence. As you can also see both these
characters are male, this is because
stereotypically men are more in to football
than women, and therefore meaning that
they are more likely to be hooligans, this
make it suitable for all the characters to be
male.
7. Jordan and Jake are stereotypical hooligans, this is because
within the opening sequence they are both loud and into
football. In addition to this they are both holding beer cans
to suggest to the audience that they are both drunk, this is
another stereotype which helps the audience establish the
genre. Also both these character as male which suits the
genre as males are seen as hooligans more that females, as
they are stereotypically considers more violent and strong.
Conor and Josh are also part of the group. Within the
opening sequence they are represented as hooligans, we
know this because of the way they speak and the way they
are dressed, for example Josh on the right is wearing an
Adidas tracksuit and is smoking, and Conor on the left is
wearing a cap. Both these characters are also male just like
all the other characters, this is because stereotypically males
are seen more of a hooligan the females this is because they
are loud and violent.

8. Unlike the other character Ben
isn't a football hooligan, the
audience will be able to know this
because of the way heโs dressed
and the way he talks, within the
opening sequence. Bens role was
to be look out and report back to
the Sam ( the leader) about the
opposite football hooligan team.
Ben was chosen for this as he suit
the role, this was because he is
small and the way his hair is
styled, in addition to this the way
he was dresses gave a sense of
realism to the audience, such as
the such glasses, the polo shirt.
