International Exposure
A map plus a few push pins would be perfect to visualize your international
exposure. Make sure you don’t just name the places you’ve been to, but
cover the following key points:
(1) Cultural differences and how you deal with those?
(2) How did you deal with the changes in lifestyle, and solve the problems
you faced?
(3) How are you going to apply what you’ve learned in your venture in the
position you are applying for

Development Path
Lists are boring! Tables are slightly better. Consider using a GRAPHIC
TIMELINE to visualize your academic and career development.
(1) Show only 3 to 6 milestones, less is more! Your resume is not a memoir!
(2) Choose your milestones wisely… Think about the position you are
applying and select appropriate milestones to impress your future
employer
(3) Don’t just focus on academic achievements , they should be covered in
your front page – the typical resume!
(4) Insert pictures to make it more eye-catching

Your Understanding of the Job
Show your future employer that you do have an in-depth understanding of
the position you are applying. “dissect” the position into 3 to 5 critical success
factors (CSF) and present them in a diagram like those that follow.
(1) Consult those who are already in that position
(2) Check out the job descriptions posted
(3) Make sure those CSFs are linked to your strengths mentioned earlier in
your typical resume. Tell stories to support your claims

You are the best fit
Nothing is better than a jigsaw puzzle to show that you have what it takes to
get the job done. The puzzle pieces are your
(1) Attitude / Character / Determination
(2) Knowledge
(3) Skills
(4) Experience

Your Ambition
A stair diagram shows development of increasing difficulty. The development
can be in the forms of
(1) Skill development
(2) Expansion of job scope / Roles and responsibility
(3) Geographic locations (moving on to a regional role)
Be forewarned, don’t say something like this, “I want to be promoted to CEO
of this company in less than 5 years.”
