Crowdfunding consultants charge a minimum of $50 an hour
and upwards of thousands to help you raise money.
I get emails weekly by crowdfunding campaigns asking me to
look over their project and help out. I’m glad to help but
people are reluctant when I quote $50 an hour for consulting
services. Worse yet, I am not even one of the more expensive
crowdfunding consultants out there. I get just as many emails
from people that have hired a crowdfunding consultant, paid
out hundreds of dollars and then feel like they’ve got very little
in return.

Helping people with crowdfunding is my business and I need to
pay the bills, but I also want you to be as successful as possible
raising money from the crowd. I realize that many people
cannot afford a crowdfunding consultant so take a look at the
checklist below.

Think like a Crowdfunding Consultant
Crowdfunding is about the connections you make, through your
campaign message and through your pre-launching activities.
A crowdfunding consultant is going to
look at your campaign and try to find
the easiest things to fix.
The checklist below shows what I look
for when analyzing a crowdfunding
campaign page. Most of the easiest
and most important ideas are at the
top. Check these off first and work
your way down the list.
