Setting
The setting of this game is based on ordinary racing tracks and custom tracks in the
streets.
One of the main sound production techniques
used to create this piece of audio in the cut
sequence is using sound proof rooms.
Mood
The mood of the game is energetic, as it displays the sounds of the cars in a very
positive fashion. The music that is played more of an ambient sound in the
background also adds to the mood of the sequence.
They must have had a highly advance audio
editing software to blend in all the ambient noises
and direction sounds together along with the
music track that was playing at the same time.
Game genre
The genres of this game included, racing/sport/simulation.
I think directional and ambient sounds were a real
focus in this trailer, as they were vital to selling
the game from an audio standing point.
Narrative
The is no narrative to the sequence, however it is clear what type of game you are
listening to, as there is distinct engine sounds and ambient rain and friction from the
tyres.
Even though there was no narrative, they finished
the sound sin the trailer to a standard good
enough to give an idea of the game as a whole
without any voice overs. Having no voice overs
meant that there are no other agendas in the
game, it’s all just racing.
