That’s why Voltiq has moved into transmission as well. In 2013/14, Voltiq led the equity raise for a 49% stake in Celeo Redes, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spanish contractor Elecnor, which owns high-voltage transmission lines in Brazil and Chile. Voltiq, mandated as the exclusive sell-side advisor, managed to raise an aggregate amount of EUR 420 M. The investment was done by the manager of world’s second largest pension fund, APG Asset management based in The Netherlands. On Elecnor: a company partly quoted on the Spanish IBEX, Elecnor is one of the leading global players in EPC and development/ investment of infrastructure and energy projects, present in 33 countries on all 5 continents and employing over 12,000 people.
