2. Shongwe is the affectionate name that we have given to the ministry we
do in partnership with Sally Mckibbin.
Sally is the founder of the Thembalethu NGO as well as “mother” to 19
children/teenagers who have found love and refuge on her plot in a rural
village in South Africa.
BBC makes its way to her home multiple times a year to help out in many
different ways.

11. What can I expect
from a trip?
Shongwe trips are a real blessing. We like to think of them as a weekend away for
the good.
You can expect to grow in your personal relationship in faith with Christ as you
love people in the most practical way, forge lasting friendships with fellow
attendees and enjoy great food.
On top of this you can expect to go to bed tired every night after a hard but
rewarding day of work on behalf of someone else.
Connect with Christ in a
new way
Make new friends and
memories
