❖This grant gives us the opportunity to serve 80 students.
✔ The grant is earned by attendance
❖We must see 74 students daily to earn the funding.
✔ Failure to meet the attendance will result in grant
reduction or loss of grant.

PANTHERS DEN is a full time program.
✔ Students must attend Monday - Friday.
Students will be allowed to have 3 unexcused absences for the entire year!!! Students exceeding the allotted days
will be dropped from the program. (3 consecutive days without communication)
❖NOTE - All absences must be called in. Those accompanied by a medical note DO NOT count against them.
❖Example – Johnny misses program on Monday. His mom calls the absence in. He returns Thursday and
forgot a doctor’s note. The absence for those 3 days are unexcused and will count towards the 3 days
allowed.
❖Early pickups will constitute as an absence.
❖ Please bear in mind, we must keep our attendance up in order to continue the program.
❖ As a courtesy, notices will go out to parents on a monthly basis informing parents of the amount of absences
and early pickups.

Please Note:
Please contact our office, if your child is sent home by the nurse due to illness (this
must be the nurse’s decision, not per parent or student request), this will not be part
of the absent days.
❖ Attendance cannot be made up.
❖ Students suspended from school will constitute as an unexcused absence!!!
❖ Any parent of a student sent home due to an illness related to COVID-19, will be
required to inform the attendance office that the child is in the Panthers Den EXLP.
❖ Please Note: If your child does not attend school, he/she cannot attend
PANTHERS DEN

❖ PANTHERS DEN will remain open and in session until 6:00 PM daily.
❖ The early release form must be filled out each time a student is picked up before the allotted time
❖ All students must be signed out.
❖ Please do not try and take your child from his/her classroom or any other area, before signing him/her out.
❖ Due to safety reasons, we ask that no parents go to the child’s classroom, rather remain in the pick-up area until your
child arrives.
❖ Please keep in mind that with our new schedule change, students who are picked up as early as 4:30pm will lose the
opportunity to participate in homework time that starts at 5:00pm.

-If there is an ongoing occurrence of

❖ Anyone listed on your emergency card will be authorized to pick up your child.
❖ Please inform us of any court ordered paperwork regarding non-authorized people or custody
agreements.
❖ Anyone NOT on your child’s emergency card will not be allowed to pick your child up.
❖ We will accept phone calls, or emails for authorization, with the “authorized persons”
name and phone number.
❖ Verification
❖ For safety reasons, we prefer authorized persons be 18 years or older.
❖ If a minor is necessary, a completed minor release form is mandatory.
❖ Everyone will be asked to show ID (school ID for minors).
❖ If an authorized person arrives without an ID, we will not release your child.

❖Emergency contact numbers should also be kept updated.
❖Please contact us of any changes.

❖ If medication is needed during program hours (i.e. inhaler, epi-pen etc.) you must

THIS WILL BE ENFORCED!
Students must be picked up NO LATER than 6:00 p.m. daily.
⮚ Students picked up after 6:00 p.m. will receive a late pick up notice.
⮚ Students receiving 3 late notices will be exited from the program.
⮚ Any student picked up after 6:30 p.m. will be dropped from the program. Talk
about CPS!!!

o Students will have 5 mins to report to assigned location where they will be greeted by their PANTHERS DEN teacher. If student
does not show up within the 5 Mins they will be marked as an unexcused absence! Unless they have a PANTHERS DEN PASS.
o Snack:
o A snack is provided to all students in the program.
o Students must take a snack and this is the only snack they will be allowed to have during program. (TALK ABOUT SUPPER
SNACK)!!!
o Homework: Last Part of program!!!
o It is mandatory for students to bring homework Monday – Friday. They cannot go back to their classrooms if they forget it.
o Students are given time to complete homework, it is the student’s responsibility to use this time wisely.
o The staff will support students, and try to help answer questions regarding homework. (We ARE NOT a tutoring program.)
o Please continue to review your child’s homework daily to ensure accuracy and completion.
o Please contact our office with any questions or concerns .

✔ If your child is involved in an after-school activity at Tilley (sports, chorus, cheer, or
tutoring with a teacher), they must check in with their PANTHERS DEN instructor then
report to their activity.
✔ After the sport or activity students are to return to PANTHERS DEN
✔ They will receive their snack.
✔ Failure to sign in will result in an unexcused absence.

▪ Students are expected to behave in the same manner that is required during the normal school day.
▪ In the event your child is involved in an incident requiring discipline counseling, he/she may be given a warning or
a discipline referral containing an explanation of the incident and a description of the consequence.
▪ Warnings are a courtesy notice informing parents of minor issues that may arise during PANTHERS DEN
designed to prevent a Discipline Referral.
▪ Discipline Referrals are given when a serious incident occurs or repeated warnings are given (verbal
or written).
▪ Any student receiving three (3) referrals (VERBAL or WRITTEN) will be exited from the program.
▪ It is MANDATORY that these forms are signed by both a parent/guardian and the student before the student re-
enters the program.
▪ One serious incident may result in an immediate suspension or expulsion from the program (i.e theft, vandalism or
fighting).
▪ Any type of bullying at any grade level will not be tolerated and will be directed to an administrator.
▪ Students are not allowed to play guns or swords during program.
▪ All rules and policies will be reviewed with students throughout the next two weeks.
