Classification: Non‐Exempt
Purpose:
To lead the processes and employees that assembles and/or installs interior components of a
passenger railcar
Essential Duties:
Serve as working lead of ~15‐20 interior assemblers
Distribute work, answer questions, train and resolve workflow related questions and/or issues
Document work area related information about product, quality and process
Read and/or interpret interior drawings/specifications
Install batten/ walls of railcar and adjust fit
Install floor material and carpet by use of rubber, liquids, glue, epoxy, etc.
Install heat insulation by use of glue and adjust fit
Install roof and wall finishing materials
Install all trim work by use of screws and rivets
Follow all company policies, procedures and safety rules
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Previous lead/supervisory experience in manufacturing setting
Ability to read and interpret interior drawings
Ability to read and interpret dimension by use of tape measure, etc.
Ability to read and interpret basic technical specifications for interior components and design
Ability to use hand tools proficiently such as: drill, tap, screw driver, hacksaw, file, screws, glue
applicator, sealant applicator, utility knife and air tools
