•What outcome do you want?

encounter consequences that are extremely
painful.
Nor again is there anyone who loves or
pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself,
because it is pain, but because occasionally
circumstances occur in which toil and pain
can procure him some great pleasure. To

Context gives purpose.
Purpose helps everyone get stuff done.

• Be explicit - document assumptions and state the obvious.
• Say what you don’t want.
Plain language is awesome!!1!!!1!

• Prepare, structure and moderate meetings
• Start on time
• Leave/decline gracefully.

• Do you want to do this? (Not “should”...)
• Does it benefit you? Can you contribute?
• Is now the time?
People will still love you.

That's not a sign of weakness.
It means you know your own strengths and are getting stuff done.
Respect the experts’ opinions - they know what they’re doing.
