Company History • Founded as “Sundaram Clayton” in 1962 in collaboration with Clayton Dewandre Holdings, UK. • Manufactured brakes, exhausts, compressors and other automobile parts. • 1978 – plant at Hosur, TN, to manufacture mopeds. • 1980 – introduced “TVS 50” • 1982 – technical collaboration with Suzuki, Japan and formed “TVS-Suzuki”. • 1984 – commercial production of vehicles started. • 2011 – separated from Suzuki and renamed “TVS Motor”.
