Turn-key Performance Contracting is a method whereby a project’s
design and construction are included within one contract and
implemented by a single point of contact; whether architect, engineer,
or contractor. This approach delivers savings on a number of fronts
including lower administration costs, a streamlined design process,
improved communication, enhanced quality of work, and a compressed
project schedule, allowing the project to move forward faster.

WARRANTY SERVICES AND
OWNER TRAINING
Willdan is the single point of contact
for all warranty services during the war-
ranty period. We enlist suppliers and
subcontractors as necessary in order
to address any deficiency quickly and
professionally. We establish a hands-on
approach to client training to ensure a
clear understanding of the newly imple-
mented system(s) and maintenance
requirements - an essential function to
capture future energy savings.

2. WHAT IS ENERGY PERFORMANCE CONTRACTING?
EPC provides customers with a comprehensive set of energy efficiency,
renewable energy, and distributed generation measures, which is often
accompanied by guarantees that the savings produced will be sufficient
to finance the majority or the full cost of the project. EPC projects are
delivered by an Energy Service Company (ESCO), such as Willdan, and
consist of the following elements:
Turn-key Service – Willdan provides all of the services required to
design and implement a comprehensive project. From the initial energy
audit through long-term Measurement and Verification (M&V) of project
savings, Willdan offers the following services under one roof:

Project financing – Willdan can arrange long term financing through
third-party companies, typically in the form of an operating lease or
municipal lease.
Project Savings Guarantee – Willdan can provide a guarantee that
the savings produced by the project will be sufficient to cover the cost of
project financing.
MEASUREMENT AND
VERIFICATION OF SAVINGS
Willdan’s Measurement & Verification (M&V)
services provide our facility owners and clients
with assurance that the installed equipment
will perform for the life of the agreement. M&V
services can range in length from 12 months
to 10 years from the commencement of a
project. M&V contracts are included in our
Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC)
agreements.
