1. Legally Single : Been part of a committed couple for decades, but unless you made your union official and legal, you still count as legally single. Socially Single : Not in a romantic relationship that other people regard as serious. Personally Single : You think of yourself as single.
2. Having baggage' means the person has a lot of problems to deal with and far too many to get into a serious relationship. Some people with 'baggage' are needy and clingy, while others are moody and depressed. They have to resolve their own issues before they can get involved in a relationship or do well in life in general.
