4. • Qur’an 112. Surah Al-Ikhlaas (The Purity)
1. Say (O Muhammad (sas): "He is Allâh, (the) One.
2. "Allâh-us-Samad (The Self-Sufficient Master,
Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor
drinks).
3. "He begets not, nor was He begotten;
4. "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto
Him."
• THAT IS ALLAH (SWT) THE ONE AND THE ONLY
TRUE GOD THE CREATOR
5. • Quran 20:14. "Verily! I am Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Ana (none
has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and
perform AsSalât (Your Prayer) for My Remembrance.
• “He (Allah, SWT) first created the pen and commanded it
to write.
• The pen asked, ‘What should I write?’ Allah said, ‘Write
out all that is destined to happen until the Day of
Judgement’.”
• Then the pen wrote everything that was predestined to
happen 50,000 years before the creation of the heavens
and the earth. (Sahi Al-Bukhari)
6. • Al-Baqara 2:255. Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the
right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One
Who sustains and protects all that exists.
• Neither slumber, nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs
whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth.
• Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His
Permission?
• He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this
world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter.
• And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge
except that which He wills.
• His Kursî extends over the heavens and the earth, and He
feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is
the Most High, the Most Great. [This Verse 2:255 is called Ayat-ul-Kursî.]
7. • Allah (swt) the Most High did not create man without a
purpose.
• Therefore, Allah (swt), The All-Wise, The Creator, must have
created us for a very important reason.
• ALLAH (SWT) EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT THAT PURPOSE WAS
IN THE HOLY QUR’AN
• Qur’an 51:56. And I (Allah) created not the jinn’s and humans
except they should worship Me (Alone).
• Qur’an 16:36. And verily, We have sent among every Ummah
(community) a Messenger (proclaiming): "Worship Allâh
(Alone), and avoid Tâghût (all false deities, besides Allâh)."
• Qur’an 16:37. If you (O Muhammad) covet for their guidance,
then verily Allâh guides not those whom He makes to go
astray (or none can guide him whom Allâh sends astray). And
they will have no helpers.
8. THEREFORE OUR PURPOSE OF LIFE IS THE IBAADAH
(WORSHIP) OF ALLAH
• ‘Ibaadah’ is often translated as worship and defined as; honor
and respect mixed with love and fear towards Allah (swt).
• Arabic: Literally) Ibaadah means submission (the surrender of
one’s self or rights).
• It comes from the word ‘abd’ which means slave or servant.
• Islamically: Ibaadah is to obey Allah by doing whatever He
has commanded and by avoiding whatever He has forbidden.
• This form of obedience is called “Ibaadah” because it involves
serving God and surrendering to God’s will.
• The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) says “Do not exaggerate
your praise of me the way the Christians did to Jesus, the son
of Mary. For verily, I am only a slave ( abd) so refer to me as
“Abd of Allah and His Messenger.” (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)
9. EVERY GOOD DEED IN A MUSLIM’S LIFE BECOMES
AN ACT OF ‘IBAADAH’ OR WORSHIP
• H O W ?
• By following two principles:
• l. By obeying Allah’s laws in the Holy Qur’an, living it
according to the way of Pro. Mohammed (saw).
• 2. By remembering Allah in whatever you are doing (by
saying: BISMILLAH. ALHAMDULILLAH, SUBHANALLAH,
ASTAGFIRULLAH, INSHA’ALLAH, MASHA’ALLAH).
• Any act following these two principles will be a source
of blessing for us , INSHALLAH!
10. UNDERSTANDING OF FAITH
HAS TWO BASES
• That Allah (swt) is Just. Master in the Day of
Judgment.
• That Allah (swt) is the ultimate wisdom.
• He knew the heart, mind, fast, present and the
future.
• Everything is the same unto Him because Allah
(swt) is the creator of time.
11. HOW TO INCREASE OUR ‘IBAADAH’ OR WORSHIP?
1- Make our self busy to Allah (SWT)
2- Benefit of the history of the Prophet and his companions
3- To defend the scholar explanation
4- Humble of heart in front of Allah (swt)
5- Using the right dua
6- To fight shaytan
7- Read the Qur’an and follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (sas)
• Yunus 10:57 O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from
your Lord (i.e. the Qur'an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all
that is evil), and a healing for that (disease of ignorance, doubt,
hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your breasts, - a guidance and a
mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things,) for the believers.
12. TO FULFILL OUR PURPOSE IN LIFE; FIND OUT WHAT
ALLAH WANTS FROM US
• SEEK KNOWLEDGE:
• Prophet Muhammad (sas) say’s seeking knowledge is an
obligation for every Muslim men and women. (Sahi Al-Bukhari)
• THE SOURCE OF OUR KNOWLEDGE:
• Should be from the Qur’an and the sunnah of Prophet
Muhammad (sas).
• Qur’an 2:4 And who believe in the [Qur’an and the sunnah]
which has been sent down to you [O Muhammad] and in
that which was sent down before you [the Taurat and the
Injeel] and they believe with certainty in the hereafter,
• Qur’an 2:5. They are on (true) guidance from their Lord and,
they are the successful.
13. • Mu'ath bin Jabal narrated that the Prophet Muhammad,
peace be upon him, said the following:
• Acquire knowledge, for surely it leads to fear of Allah
• Seeking knowledge it is an act of worship ('ibadah)
• Studying it is praising Allah
• Seeking, it is jihad
• Teaching it to whomever doesn't known it is an act of charity
(sadaqah)
14. THE PROPHET'S SPEECH ON THE IMPORTANCE
OF KNOWLEDGE
• KNOWLEDGE POINTS TO THE PERMISSIBLE (HALAAL) AND
THE FORBIDDEN (HARAAM)
• And it is a shining light pointing the way to paradise.
• It is a guide through prosperity and adversity.
• It is a weapon against enemies; and it is the best of friends.
• With knowledge, Allah raises people to high stations,
making them leaders in goodness, whose steps are traced.
15. THE PROPHET'S SPEECH ON THE IMPORTANCE
OF KNOWLEDGE
• THEIR OPINION FOLLOWED:
• The angels like to sit with the people of knowledge,
surrounding their wings.
• And everything dry or wet, fish of the sea and animals on
land, will ask Allah to forgive them.
• Knowledge gives life to the heart in the midst of ignorance,
and illumines vision in the darkness.
• With knowledge, God's servants become the elite and
reach the highest degrees in this life and in the hereafter.
16. THE PROPHET'S SPEECH ON THE IMPORTANCE
OF KNOWLEDGE
• Contemplation with knowledge is equivalent to
fasting (sawm).
• Spending time to study it is equivalent to
standing at night in prayer (qiyam); duties to
relatives are fulfilled by it; and through it the
halaal and haraam are known.
• Knowledge precedes action ('amal) and action
always follows it.
• The fortunate ones attain it and the miserable
ones are deprived of it. (Sahi Al-Bukhari)

18. THE FRUITS OF OUR BELIEF
1- ACCOMPLISHING THE BELIEF OF OUR FAITH
1- FIGHTING IGNORANCE OF KNOWLEDGE
2- COURAGE
3- PEACE OF MINE
4- TALKING ALLAH (SWT) WITH PATIENCE
5- TO DEFEND ALLAH (SWT) ALONE
6- AND TO BELIEVE THAT ISLAM IS THE ONLY DEEN
ACCEPTED BY ALLAH (SWT).
• Al-Imran 3:85 And whoever seeks a religion other than
Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the
Hereafter he will be one of the losers.
19. • Al-Baqarah 2:156. Who, when afflicted with
calamity, say: "Truly! To Allâh we belong and
truly, to Him we shall return."
• 2:157. They are those on whom are the Salawât
(i.e. blessings, etc.) (i.e. who are blessed and will
be forgiven) from their Lord, and (they are those
who) receive His Mercy, and it is they who are
the guided-ones.
20. IF WE REFUSE TO MAKE OUR LIVES CONFORM
TO ALLAH’S LAWS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN?
• We become rebels like ‘Ibliss’
• We become lower than the lowest of
creation.
• That is what Allah meant when He describe
those who went against His law’s, saying;
• Qur’an 25:44 “Verily, they are like cattle, nay
they are even most lost from the path.”
21. • Qur’an 3:149. O you who believe! If you obey
those who disbelieve, they will send you back
on your heels, and you will turn back (from
Faith) as losers.
• Qur’an 17:82. And We send down from the
Qur'ân that which is a healing and a mercy to
those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and
act on it), and it increases the Zâlimûn
(polytheists and wrong-doers) nothing but loss.
