  2. 2. Have a Plan Know what you want • Believe in what you want How are you going to get there? What do you need to do? Do your decisions follow the plan? Stay on track Follow the plan
  3. 3. Know the Fundamentals Get back to basics How do you rate on the basic skills needed to do your job? • How can you improve? Do you consistently use those basics? All great successes adhere to the basic skills
  4. 4. Set Goals Are they written? • Keep them with you at all times Do they match your plan? Do your actions work toward your goals?
  5. 5. Develop the Right Attitude Your attitude is more important than anything If all you think about is yourself, you will not achieve success How you approach your job will determine if you succeed or fail You have to change to meet the needs of your customers
  6. 6. We have an opportunity to be very successful, but everything starts with the proper attitude You can’t choose what happens, but you can choose the proper attitude
  7. 7. Care for Others Help other people get what they want Caring helps you make good choices It allows you to see the big picture • It’s about making a contribution Gives you a higher purpose If you care enough, you will be successful
  8. 8. Commit to Teamwork Be committed to the success of others Everyone is involved for the same reason Everyone want to feel important If you are doing a job well for the recognition, you are doing it for the wrong reason When we work together, great things can happen
  9. 9. Satisfaction should not come from the job you do, satisfaction should come from how well you do the job.
  10. 10. Self Image, Loyalty, Standards You have to have faith and believe in yourself • Enables you to reach out and help other people You have to have faith & believe in the company You have to have standards • And be willing to stand behind them
  11. 11. 3 Rules for Good Self Image 1. Do what you know to be right 2. Whatever you do, do it to the best of your ability • Commit to excellence 3. Care about and support people • Treat people as you would like to be treated

Self Image, Loyalty, Standards It’s not about saying what they want to hear • You are disloyal when you know something to be wrong and don’t say anything about it The greatest disservice you can give some on is to lower your standards You send a message on your commitment to excellence by how well you know your game and your customers needs
  13. 13. When people want to work with you, how will you stack up to these three questions? Can I trust you? Are you committed to excellence? Do you care about me? If you can answer positively to all three—you are on your way to uncommon success.
