1. >>Hello Everyone! I am Genesis Delos Angeles, 12 ABM 9, advocating for protection of life and
environment and I am ready to embark on the path of leadership and stewardship. Life and
environment are very sacred. They are given to us by God to protect and to nurture. We are stewards of
God's creation and not exploiters who use it and abuse it as we want. Caring for God’s creation is a
picture of Godliness. Let’s show our gratitude to God. Our care for the creation is the reflection of our
love to the creator.
2. >>Since March this year, I have been doing my short-term goals to protect and to care for the environment.
The start of the documentation of my advocacy was on March 19, 2022. On that day, I made a poster and
slogan about encouraging the people to join me in my advocacy in protecting and caring our natural resources.
I printed it on the same day.
On March 20, 2022, I prepared the sacks to be used in segregating wastes materials from Biodegradable to
Non Biodegradable.
On March 26, 2022, I bought some seedlings to be planted on the day of my implementation of my advocacy.
3. >>On April 16, 2022, I started to implement my advocacy. In these photos, I educate the workers about the negative
effects of illegal logging and mining. Illegal logging is the harvesting, processing, transporting, buying or selling of timber
in contravention of national and international laws. It has a devastating impact on some of the world's most valuable
remaining forests, and on the people who live in them and rely on the resources that forests provide.
On April 17, 2022, I encouraged them to join advocacy groups to protect our natural resources and to plant more trees.
Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial
biodiversity.
In these photos, I encourage the workers to segregate their waste materials from biodegradable to non-biodegradable.
I also educated them that Waste segregation is included in law because it is much easier to recycle.
Effective segregation of wastes means that less waste goes to landfill which makes it cheaper and better for people
and the environment. It is also important to segregate for public health.
4. However, one of the goals that I
should implement was to give flyers
to people in the market and educate
them one by one about how to take
care and protect our environment but
it was not implemented due to the
risk of Covid 19. The risk we
encountered while implementing the
advocacy was when we are
segregating, there were many broken
bottles and bottles of chemicals. It
was dangerous to segregate those
trash because it was piled up for a
long time and the smell was so foul.
During the preparation and the
implementation, I discovered a
lot of things. I disovered my
strength. I discovered that I could
do all my advocacy goals. I
thought I couldn’t segragate dirty
things but I was able to tolerate
the foul smell to make things
organized.
My weakness however, was to
socialize with people. I was used
to stay in my room and just do my
stuffs but because of my
advocacy, I was able to conquer
my weakness of socialization.

6. In my advocacy, it became relevant
as I am a baptized Christian. As a follower of
God, it is my duty and responsibility to take care
of the creation of God. We should be a good
steward of the Earth, our home.
As a member of fundamental sacrament,
I was able to make present the invisible truth of
God’s unending grace by continuing my
initiated advocacy. I will prom
that I will be a good steward of the Earth.
7. To sanctify my advocacy work,
I must receive a sacrament of holy orders
where in one must serve one another
including the creations of the Lord. This
sacrament helped me
strengthen my faith to God.
