This presentation is about Responsiveness as an intrinsic goal of any health system. It differs from health improvement goal as it stands for the legitimate expectations of people respective to non-clinical aspects of the healthcare services.
2. • According to the WHO framework, health systems shed light on six
main functions; service delivery, health workforce, health information
system, access to essential medicines, financing, and leadership and
governance, in order to achieve three intrinsic goals; health
improvement, responsiveness to non-clinical expectations, and
social and financial risk protection.
4. • Responsiveness differs from health improvement goal as it stands for
the legitimate expectations of people respective to non-clinical
aspects of the healthcare services.
5. • Responsiveness of inpatient services is comprised of eight domains
which can be divided into: 1) interpersonal domains including:
dignity, clear communication, autonomy and confidentiality,
and
2) client orientation domains encompassing: prompt attention, access
to social support networks (excluded in the case of measuring
responsiveness of outpatient services), choice of provider and quality
of basic amenities.
