2. What are fibers?
Thread of Filament from which a vegetable tissue, mineral substance or textile is
formed.
There are two types of Fibers, Natural Fibers and Man-made fibers.
Natural Fibers: Natural Fibers are obtained from plants, animals and mineral
sources. They are staples or smaller broken lengths of fiber. For example: Hemp,
Jute, Linen, Silk.
Man-made Fibers: Man-made fibers consist of synthetic and regenerated filaments
of fibers. For example: Acrylic, Polyester, Viscose, Rayon, Spandex, Nylon, acetate
etc.
