CONCLUSION
• Scientists predict that COVID-19 will become endemic over time. An endemic virus is constant in a population with largely predictable patterns.
• Information professionals have a new front called Covid-19 infodemic, as they have the knowledge, skills and experience to play an important role in the fight against fake news.
• Information professionals challenged by the pace of technology adoption that is expected to remain unabated and may accelerate in some areas. The adoption of cloud computing, big data and e- commerce remain high priorities during Covid-19 endemic. They must adapt with this situation.

8. INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL – DEFINITION
• An information professional or information specialist is someone
who collects, records, organises, stores, preserves, retrieves,
and disseminates printed or digital information. The service
delivered to the client is known as an information service.
• The versatile term "information professional" is used to describe
similar and sometimes overlapping professions, such as librarians,
archivists, information managers, information systems
specialists, information scientists, records managers, and
information consultants, but terminology differs among sources
and organisations.
• Information professionals work in a variety of private, public, and
academic institutions, or independently.

17. INFORMATION SCIENCE
17
“Information science is
the science and practice
dealing with the effective
collection, storage, retrieval,
and use of information.
It is concerned with
recordable information and
knowledge, and the
technologies and related
services that facilitate their
management and use.

24. WHAT IS BIG DATA ANALYTICS?
24
Big data analytics is the
often complex process of
examining large and
varied data sets, or big
data, to uncover information
-- such as hidden patterns,
unknown correlations,
market trends and customer
preferences -- that can help
organizations make informed
business decisions.
32. INFORMATION PROFESSIONALS & INFODEMIC
32
An infodemic may be defined as
an excessive amount of
information concerning a
problem such that the solution is
made more difficult.
The end result is that an anxious
public finds it difficult to
distinguish between evidence-
based information and a broad
range of unreliable
misinformation.
33. EXAMPLE OF MYTHS DURING COVID-19
PANDEMIC
• Drinking alcohol protect you against COVID-19
• Spraying alcohol or chlorine all over your body kill the new coronavirus
• Eating garlic helps prevent infection with the new coronavirus?
• COVID-19 virus cannot be transmitted in areas with hot and humid climates
• Cold weather and snow kill the new coronavirus
• Taking a hot bath prevent the new coronavirus disease
• The new coronavirus can be transmitted through mosquito bites.
• Hand dryers are effective in killing the new coronavirus
• Ultraviolet disinfection lamps kill the new coronavirus
• Mosquito bites can transmit the virus
• Chloroquine is a proven cure
• 5G caused the pandemic

Anti Vaksin
Pro Vaksin
Undecided
• Jumlah individu anti vaksin
relative lebih kecil
ukurannya.
• Namun, mereka lebih
dekat dan berinteraksi kuat
dengan cluster yang belum
memutuskan pro atau anti.
• Jumlah cluter anti vaksin
hampir 3x pro vaksin, dan
jumlah membernya lebih
banyak, meski total
individunya lbh sedikit.
37. EVOLUSI CLUSTER ANTI, PRO, NETRAL
37
a) Anti Vaksin (merah) berhasil
membangun jaringan antar group
lebih banyak, lebih kuat, dibanding
pro vaksin (biru).
b) Pertumbuhan anggota group anti
vaksin (merah) lebih tinggi dibanding
pro vaksin (biru).
38. ANTI VS PRO VACCINE TREND
38
a) Dalam 10 tahun ke depan, anti vaksin akan
mendominasi dalam jumlah pendukung.
b) Pro Vaksin bisa tetap mengungguli anti
vaksin jka bisa meyakinkan cluster
undecided.

40. CONTEXT COLLAPSE
40
There is a concept in social media
studies known as “context collapse.”
Usually attributed to the
researcher Danah Boyd, it refers to the
way in which social media platforms
take messages that the sender intended
to be seen by one audience in a given
context and serve them up to others
who were not the intended targets.

42. THE ROLE OF INFORMATION PROFESSIONAL IN
THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
• Health Sciences Librarians (HSLs) have the knowledge, skills and
experience to play an important role in the fight against fake
news.
• Since the 1980s they have played a leading role in educating
people (through information literacy programmes) about how to
evaluate facts and how to check the authenticity of information
(Banks, 2016; Dempsey, 2017).
• The main weapon must be training and education, drawing on the
many information literacy programmes to alert the public on how
to identify fake news.
