Segundo ciclo de la ESO, Bachillerato. Adaptable.
MATERIALS:
Papel y lápiz.
OBJECTIVES:
Reactivar conocimiento previo,
practicar la expresión escrita.
PROCEDURE:
Los alumnos tienen que escribir una pequeña
introducción sobre un estudiante ficticio que entra
en su clase. Todos empezarán por “This is *insert
name here*. He/She comes from… His/Her dreams for
the future are… This year, he/she is going to…”.
Tendrán un tiempo limitado para terminar el párrafo.
Pueden escribir tanto como quieran, y echarle
imaginación. Al final del tiempo, se leen algunos
párrafos en voz alta y se corrigen algunos fallos.
Para la segunda parte del ejercicio, cada alumno hará
una foto al párrafo de su compañero, y continuará su
propia historia haciendo que su personaje conozca al
de su compañero: “The first day of school, he/she met
… and they…”. Se valora la creatividad, así como la
cohesión y corrección del texto.

PROCEDURE:
Los alumnos escriben un acróstico, escribirán un
adjetivo que les defina que empiece por cada una
de las letras de su nombre, por ejemplo: Creative
Outstanding Radiant Able.
Como follow-up, los alumnos pueden buscar los
antónimos de sus adjetivos.
En niveles más altos, pueden escribir una frase
para cada letra para formar un poema que les
defina.
Se pueden utilizar los poemas para crear un
póster colaborativo.

Segundo ciclo de la ESO, Bachillerato, adaptable.
MATERIALS:
Papel y lápiz, aunque se puede aprovechar la
actividad para hacer murales con el resultado
de la actividad.
OBJECTIVES:
Repasar alternativas a los conectores básicos.
Practicar la escritura. Practicar la lectura en
voz alta. Practicar la comprensión oral. Utilizar
el feedback entre iguales para fomentar la
autoestima y la capacidad de concentración.
PROCEDURE:
Se divide la clase en tres grupos: AND, BUT y BECAUSE. Cada
grupo tiene un tiempo determinado para escribir todas las
frases que pueda con una ALTERNATIVA distinta a su
conector, por ejemplo, el grupo AND podrá crear una frase
con AS WELL AS, otra con MOREOVER, etc.
Al final del tiempo, cada grupo lee sus frases una a una. Si
es correcta, el grupo se lleva un punto. Si es incorrecta, los
otros grupos pueden corregirla para ganar un punto. El
grupo con más puntos acumulados, gana.
Si se han utilizado cartulinas o papel de colores, se pueden
escribir las frases en grande con el conector en un color
que resalte y dejarlos en la pared a modo de murales.
Esta actividad se puede adaptar a cualquier nivel y para
repasar cualquier aspecto que se esté tratando en clase.

Guess who!
LEVEL OF THE ACTIVITY : 1st CSE
MATERIALS: a piece of paper for the
teacher or the teacher’s assistant.
OBJECTIVES:
• Students will be able to know more
about their classmates’ likes and
dislikes. It is a great way to break
the ice, since it could be the first
time they meet each other.
• Student will learn a great variety of
vocabulary.
• Students will start training their
memory ability.
PROCEDURE:
First of all, students must introduce themselves
aloud and say something they like or dislike, for
example, “My name is Anna and I like K-Pop” or
“My name is Michael and I don’t like fish and
chips”. Meanwhile, the teacher or the teacher’s
assistant (chosen with a choosing rhyme) would
be writing what each student is saying.
Afterwards, a volunteer or a student chosen with
a choosing rhyme must stand up in front of the
classroom, in addition to the rest of students
who would remain next to their seats. The
teacher or teacher’s assistant must choose a
topic and say it aloud, so that the volunteer can
guess or try to remember who had said that. The
questions that he/she should be asking are: “is
she a girl/is he a boy?”, “is he/she wearing
jeans?”, etc. Students must seat if they do not
coincide with the description. Student must take
several turns in order to know as much as
possible about each other.
