Interface with other engineering disciplines, and provide process input to carryout detailed
engineering activities, provide process data for instrument sizing.
Evaluate vendor proposals related to equipment and chemical supplies, perform Equipment /
Instrument sizing calculations.
Prepare start-up and commissioning procedures for the new modifications and provide assistance in
preparing operating manuals and procedures and apply SHE guidelines to existing and new
modifications.
Provides consultation in troubleshooting process abnormalities to recommend the best possible
resolutions.
Ensures the process units are operating at optimum conditions to provide the maximum profit by
applying engineering principles and coordinating the work with Manufacturing and Planning divisions.
Reviews and approves the process parameter adjustments to maximize yield, meet production plans,
plant reliability and profitability based on process performance and laboratory results.
Review and analyze the abnormalities of equipment/system in the plant and initiate immediate
corrective actions in order to maintain and smooth operation of the plant.
Monitor plant performance by checking log sheets, logbooks and other recorder plant data.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management information and future
reference.
Maintain operation records, manuals, data, drawings, keys under safe custody for easy access.
Maintain smooth and safe operation of the plant by attending to critical problems through of meetings
for management information.
Prepare plant operation reports and statistics for management information by assessing the plant
condition/status.
Supervise and maintain good housekeeping by conducting routine Inspection and prepare report for
management review to meet safety and environmental requirement.
Monitor supply of operational consumables by drawing from stores and allocating them as required for
plant operation.
Maintain history, generation cost, and fuel consumption and operation records of day to day activities
of the plant for future references.
Arrange receipt of chemicals for plant and monitoring the plant chemical and fuel stock.

Render necessary assistance/service to shift staff during normal startup, shutdown and emergencies
by providing necessary information & data.
Analyze the plant performance/conditions in case of any abnormalities/occurrences in order to detect
the defect and avoid recurrence of such occurrences for reliable operation of the plant.
Prepare operation and consumables budget and tender evaluation to meet plant requirement for
smooth operations.
Ensure plant and personal safety by arranging to provide PPE items to the concerned staff.
Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates, operators in consultation with Manager Operation.
Evaluate Operator’s applications as instructed by superior.
Follow up work requests and actions take to rectify the defects in order to update the plant history
for future reference.
Check and verify operation reports, data, and calculations and arrange data entry into the computers
for maintaining plant history and day to day activity records.
