1. Pace Web Server Access

If you do not already have a Pace Web Space account, you must set one up.
If you’re an incoming freshman, there is a good chance you already have an account set up for you. To check
please follow the instructions below on How to Connect to the PACE Web Server.
To set up an account you must go to:

Click on Webspace Activation Page to activate your account. If you are not successful, you must contact DOIT or
submit a request through the PACE Help Desk.

How to Connect to the PACE Web Server and Upload Files to Your Web
Space
There are two options to upload files to your account on the Web Server:
1. FTP Software - you will need FTP software installed to your computer
1) Server Name: webpage.pace.edu in the address bar of your web browser.
2) User Name: paceusername (without ‘@pace.edu’), (make sure you type pace before your
user name)
3) Password: usual password (same one you use to log into Blackboard, unless you’ve changed it)
If you are PC based:
You can try CoreFTP (Free download for PC Computers)

There are two FTP applications available online that allow a free download:

2. 2. Connecting to the PACE WEB Server using Internet Explorer
1) You DO NOT need FTP software you can also use your Internet Explorer Web Browser
2) Please type ftp://webpage.pace.edu in the address bar of your web browser.
3) Login: paceusername (without ‘@pace.edu’), (make sure you type pace before your user
name)
4) Password: usual password (same one you use to log into Blackboard, unless you’ve changed it)
5) To be able to Drag and Drop files and folders to your account you will need to Click on ‘Page’ (on
your web browser – right hand side and click ‘Open FTP site in Windows Explorer’ to open the
folder in Windows Explorer. (see example below)
6) You’ll probably be asked to login in once more.
7) You can now drag and drop files or folders as you would to and from any folder on your computer.
3. 3. If you use Firefox/ Mozilla you will need an Add On for FTP capabilities .
FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and
intuitive access to FTP servers. Download and install the add on using Firefox then follow the
instruction listed above.
