This document discusses Capacitor, a new cross-platform runtime for building web apps that addresses some limitations of Cordova. Capacitor allows building apps once that can run on iOS, Android, desktop and web using modern native tools. It is inspired by Cordova, React Native and Turbolinks and aims to provide full control over native platforms while maintaining backwards compatibility with Cordova plugins.
