Alice Veglio is considered one of the most prominent
international personal trainers and women empowerment
activists in Italy and internationally. In addition, she has
walked down the catwalk at the most influential fashion
shows and posed worldwide for brands and photographers
in prestigious locations such as Paris, Dubai, Rome,
Maldives, and Qatar, to give some examples. Her face is
known for having presented important events broadcasted
nationwide in Italy, having appeared in some of the most
famous fashion weeks in the world and in numerous
advertising campaigns and music videos, including that of
The Kolors and Shade in 2018.
From an early age, Alice started to pose for fashion brands
for kids, and at the age of 15, she had her model debut in
her first fashion show for Vogue. Her CV also includes the
role of poster girl for Juventus and Moto GP until 2014,
when she had access to the Miss Italy final; in 2016 won
second place at Miss International Model; in 2017, again
second at Miss Europe and in the same year Alice won the
title of Miss Earth Italy Air in 2017.
In 2019 Alice Veglio reached 2nd place at Miss Multiverse
World Finals in Punta Cana: the first beauty, intelligence,
fitness, and entrepreneurship competition in the world for
21st-century women.
Very followed on the web; in 2016, she began a career as a
blogger and influencer, boasting today over 210,000
followers.
Parallel to the world of entertainment and world-class
modeling, Alice has achieved important successes in
studies: Double Italian-French graduation, a degree in
Holistic health sciences (top of her class) and a second
degree in Economics and Business Management,
Certification of Personal Trainer, Nutrition Science degree
(Stanford University), life coach international certification,
and apprenticeships at prestigious United Nations offices
(FAO, WGEO) and Dubai government offices.
Alice was a project assistant and then a sustainability
journalist for the government office Dubai Carbon Center of
Excellence. She was also the junior project manager for
WGEO at United Nations Office.
In 2018 she launched her Fitness Program, counting over
30.000 members in Italy and worldwide just in the first
year alone. Alice, in her content, not only shares high-
quality certified information about fitness and health, but
she is also fighting to empower as many women as
possible to reach their potential.
In the modern world, the longing for a better lifestyle
Ithat enhances physical and mental health tends to be
the primary goal of global communities. While
understanding the diversifications in the modern world, the
adequacy of health and inspiration is essential to transform
varied social-cultural instances.
A demanded motivational speaker in women empowerment
events, a successful entrepreneur and fitness coach, and an
international athlete participating in fitness events are only a
few things that can define Alice Veglio as a leader who is
disrupting the business landscape.
As the CEO and Founder of Bright & Fit Fitness
Program, she is paving the way for numerous women to
redesign the perception of their limits and help them
through home fitness, mindset exercises, and nutritional
advice to regain self-esteem and a better quality of life.
Insights Success caught up with Alice to discuss her
journey, struggles, achievement, and future goals.
Below are the highlights of the interview:
Kindly tells our readers about yourself and your
professional journey so far.
Alice Veglio, born on July 6th, 1995, in Italy, found herself
having to overcome a severe health disease at the age of 13:
the diagnosis of a dangerous vertebral rotation that would
have forced her to give up physical activity for the rest of
her life. Alice has been a ballet dancer since the age of 3,
and this diagnosis led her to lose all security and hope for a
free and happy future.
Alice found herself immobilized with a cast on her back
which made her unable to tie her shoes. Thanks to the help
of valid professionals, she managed to avoid undergoing a
dangerous operation. Once the plaster was removed from
her back, Alice’s mission in life became to study in the best
institutions and find the proper tools to regain her freedom
and be able to move and eliminate the fear of immobility
from her life forever. It is for this reason that Alice, together
with an Economics and Marketing University degree, also
has many certifications in the world of wellness and health:

Ÿ Specialization in nutrition sciences at Stanford
University
Ÿ Diploma of the personal trainer
Ÿ Yoga teacher diploma and specialization in bioenergetic
manual techniques
This mission took its roots in Alice’s childhood when she
was diagnosed with a severe and dangerous spinal disease.
This ambitious “Bright & Fit Fitness Program” project
strives to bring Italy an innovative digital wellness and
women empowerment concept with the first 100% Italian
fitness program application available in significant Apple
and Android stores.
What was the inspiration behind venturing into this
industry?
At the end of her studies, Alice gained the proper
knowledge to see her body healthy, transformed, and finally
be able to move without implications for her spine. This
incredible result, therefore, prompted Alice to desire to
share with as many people as possible the method that
allowed her to get back in perfect shape, regain confidence
and self-esteem and go beyond the limits she thought to
have. Alice’s double degree in two essential fields
(economics and health) generated the interest of numerous
government offices, including Dubai Carbon and the Dubai
government office dedicated to a green economy, in which
Alice worked firstly as a project assistant and then as
Sustainabilist, Journalist and then the WGEO office of the
United Nations. Alice started working in the United Nations
WGEO Dubai office at the young age of 23, holding the
role of Junior Project Manager.
Despite the great gratifications received in these vital
organizations, Alice increasingly felt the need to be able to
make her contribution to the world and not leave aside the
method that had transformed her health and body in the
previous years. It is, therefore, for this reason, that Alice
officially launched in January 2019 in the United Arab
Emirates her first start-up dedicated to holistic fitness and
female empowerment, which today has more than 35,000
women registered and, in its first two years, has reached
over 1 million dollars in turnover: Bright & Fit.
Tell us about Bright & Fit Fitness and its specialty, and
shed light on your role in its development and outreach.
Bright & Fit is Italy’s first online Holistic Fitness program
with medical certification. Today Bright & Fit has its
modern and technological native app that allows women
from all over the world to have everything they need to stay
fit and happy within one click. Bright & Fit is not just a
fitness program; it is a personal transformation tool that
aims to help women redesign the perception of their limits
and help them through home fitness, mindset exercises, and
nutritional advice to regain self-esteem and a better quality
of life.
It is also a coaching academy and learning company where
healthcare professionals and personal trainers can receive a
complete learning experience and improve their knowledge
with Alice’s Holistic approach. Alice is also leading a group
of Health
Professionals that provide high quality and customized
Bright & Fit Program experience to all members. Bright &
Fit is a company created by a woman for women with the
deep desire to allow even those who have little time
available, those who cannot train in the gym,
GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PROMPT, INFORMED, AND
ALWAYS PRESENTS SUPPORT FOR CUSTOMERS.
and those who do not have fitness equipment available, to
be able to train with the best results in 15-30 minutes a day
without the need for equipment and just by using their
smartphone.
Today Bright & Fit has more than 25 members in its
team entirely dedicated to the project, and the incredible
results achieved by the users of the program have led
numerous magazines and television channels to talk about
Alice, including Forbes Italia, Forbes India, RAI 3, La
print, Thrive Global, Yahoo finance, California Herald, and
London Daily Post.
My greatest ambition in my everyday life is to make a
tangible difference and make an effective contribution to the
life of women regardless of their physical, geographical,
and social condition. My main goal is to allow people to
live better, reconsider their potential, and become aware
that anything is possible. This vision characterizes every
innovation and initiative in the company. For that reason, in
June 2021, we started a critical charity project called
“Bright & Fit Cares,” through which we offer concrete help
to women with physical or social difficulties. Our first
initiative was to support ANDOS, one of Italy’s most
crucial breast cancer prevention and treatment
organizations.
As an experienced leader, please share with us your
opinion on how modern technology is changing the face
of the world. Also, please share with us how technology
enables your business to take its steps to the next level.
The company is undergoing a continuous transformation
day after day in order to always offer the best standards in
terms of quality, efficiency, and technology. Less than three
years ago, the company was composed only of a team of 3
people, ten active users, and one website, and today; we
have a team of more than 25 people with 45,000 active
users, a native app, and an increased turnover of 200% per
year. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, the
company felt the need to increase productivity in terms of
the number of staff dedicated to the project and technology.
We invest daily to offer the best quality content, the highest
levels of technology in our app, and the maximum level of
support for each person using our service to have the most
beautiful transformation and growth experience of their life.
Numerous parameters are used every day to evaluate the
improvements of the company. Even before the turnover
and the number of registered users, we strive daily to
determine the number of satisfied users. Having a 98%
Customer Satisfaction Rate makes us incredibly proud and
happy. The number of registered users has increased since
the first day of activity. Our social communities have more
and more registered members, and in December 2021, we
reached more than 35,000 registered users.
In your opinion, what are the current challenges that
you are facing? And what are your strategies to
overcome these challenges in the upcoming future?
Good customer service is prompt, informed, and always
presents support for customers. We invest daily to have a
team of trained coaches and technicians ready to respond
24/7 to all requests and questions. Furthermore, customer
support is not limited to technical issues as our customer
service has the skills to emotionally support women in
every moment of their transformation journey and is ready
to motivate them and always make them feel supported. We
use a WhatsApp number and a telephone channel to be able
to speak at any time with a trained operator, interactive
Zoom calls to guide users within the program, support via
email, a live chat both within the app and on the site, and
we respond to messages on each of our social channels. In
the Facebook community, we also organize live Q&A
sessions.
Please enlighten us on the significant challenges you
have dealt with in your professional journey and how
they played a role in your success.
The exceptional results obtained from the beginning by my
students are the most excellent form of recognition I could
wish for. Seeing transformed women and families is
priceless and makes me realize every day the value of my
contribution to the world of fitness and health. Instead,
what pushed me back in the last period was a heart
disease caused by a covid viral infection: viral
pericarditis. In the middle of my athletic preparation for
the Ironman 70.3, I was forced to relive the traumas of
the past and be forced to stop my athletic training.
My positivity and determination allowed me, unexpectedly,
after six months, to recover completely and return to the
best physical shape ever using the Bright & Fit method.
What has been a great difficulty in recent months has, in
fact, been converted into my greatest strength and belief
that nothing can stop a positive and determined mind.
As an experienced leader, what advice would you like
to give to budding women entrepreneurs and
enthusiasts who wish to venture into the industry?
The only limit for a woman as a leader is the limits
imposed by our environment. Since childhood, we
have been asked what we want to do when we grow
up, thus suggesting that we can be only one thing (a
wife, an entrepreneur, or an athlete). However, what
many need to consider is that we can be everything!
A woman can simultaneously be a caring mother, a
loving wife, a successful entrepreneur, and a
performing athlete! Stereotypes are the real
obstacle to the success of many women. For this
reason, my company and my daily mission are to
demonstrate that we must not give up on our
dreams and that every woman can be anything
she wants to be in this life.
What is your aim for the future? Also, how
do you envision scaling your company’s
operations and offerings in the coming
years?
In the next few years, I see myself at the top
of my career as an athlete, coach, and
entrepreneur. I want to be a successful
athlete who, despite life’s difficulties, can
recover and come back stronger than
before. I want more and more women
capable of continuing to transform the
lives of thousands of women for the
better. I want to be an agent of change in
the world of female fitness and women’s
empowerment. This new year Bright &
Fit is involved in new exciting projects,
including the launch of the first
movie/documentary about my life and
more live events with thousands of
women from all over Italy and the rest
of the world. We work daily to ensure
that Bright & Fit increasingly
becomes a company capable of
representing innovation and quality
and making a difference in online
fitness.

Amina, kindly brief us about yourself and your
professional journey so far. What was your inspiration
for stepping into the marketing sector?
Hello! My name is Amina; I’m the CEO of the 2050
Marketing and PR agency and co-founder of a unique
project for female travelers called “Females Freedom.”
I started my journey in business a long time ago. I
graduated from the Academy of Law and got my Master’s
degree diploma when I was only 19. At the age of 23, I
launched my first trading company. I saw how quickly
brands grew on social media while living and working in
Paris.
After moving to Dubai, I worked for different companies as
a content creator, but that was not enough for me; I felt I
could do much more. New brand ideas were constantly
flooding my mind, and I didn’t want to limit myself to just
those. When the time came, I studied a lot about digital
marketing, and I still do that continuously because, in the
digital marketing business, you have to follow the trends all
the time.
Tell us about 2050 Marketing and PR, including its
mission and vision. What is your role in its development
and global outreach?
Marketing plays a vital role in promoting the business and
mission of any company. It is the face of the organization,
the main element that helps to make the company
recognizable. It is the 2050 marketing and PR agency’s
mission to reach out to prospects, customers, investors, and
the community while creating an overarching image that
represents the company in the best possible light.

We have a highly professional team with experience in
different parts of the world. Each of us knows how to reach

In 2013, I started to work on digital marketing for a
concierge company for personal shopping in Paris. After
moving to Dubai, I worked with startup companies and
fashion brands. That’s how I got an opportunity to start a
2050 marketing and PR agency.
According to you, how do you support social media
management while also venturing into application
development?
To reach the audience of users of the application, any
business has to work on digital marketing and social media.
It’s always been that way.
Tell us about the challenges you have faced and how
they have shaped you as a business leader.
Digital marketing is still something new for some business
owners, especially those of the older generation who built
businesses before Instagram’s creation. It’s difficult to
explain to them how important it is today and how it helps
them stay competitive. The solution is to demonstrate that
your customers are pleased with the results of their
collaboration with you.
Where do you envision yourself and your company’s
global outreach in the upcoming years?
One of the main goals for the 2050 Marketing & PR
Agency is to be one of the most successful marketing
agencies in the UAE, and now that we have customers
around the world, we have all the possibilities of being
called an International Company.
Please share with us the idea about your project,
Females Freedom.
This unique traveling project is only for females, which
gives you feelings of freedom and unity with nature and
fills you up with feminine energy and power. It was created
by me and my partner, Yana Trofimchuk.
Yana has more than 7 years of experience in travel and
event organization.
On one of the yacht trips where I was invited by her to
Sicily, I realized that if there were no men on this yacht, I’d
be able to take my hijab off and swim because there are a
lot of spots where you can be in very private areas like
bays. That’s how this idea occurred in my mind.
As of now, we have made a successful yachting trip in
Turkey, where we had a crew consisting of only women,
and we spent 7 days going around different
islands and marinas. The second one was a
trip to Bali this February in private villas
with all female staff, massage therapists, a
spa, swimming pools, and photo shoots
in beautiful places.
This project is very unique because no
one on the market gives ladies the
privacy to “Be hidden from male eyes”
as we do. It’s something very
needed in Muslim society. It
is something that can
change the whole
perspective of true
relaxation for Muslim
ladies.
Amina’s story is a

have a lot of potentials to boost economic opportunities, such as

Therefore, the question arises of whether technology can
promote women's empowerment. Second, how does it affect

Social relationships—which include social processes,
patterns, and interactions—exemplify reciprocity and
interrelationships in society. In the same way that change is
a natural law, it reorganizes a society whenever it occurs.
Technology is a primary driver of social change because it
is a product of utilization, or when scientific knowledge is
applied to real-world problems. This is why the modern era
is called the "Age of Technology."
W.F. Ogburn claims that technology is necessary for social
change, reproduces our environment, and forces people to
adapt. Innovation, to a great extent, first modifies the
material climate and afterward summons changes we

social organizations.
Gender Socialization
Socialization begins at birth through a variety of pre-
existing social institutions for new members of a group. As
a learning process, it teaches people how to assume cultural
roles based on their sex. People are treated differently by
members of their environment based on their sex from birth
to death, and they learn about gender differences to
participate effectively in their normative society.
Through gender socialization, people learn to behave in a
certain way due to societal beliefs, values, attitudes, and

stereotypes.
Socialization forces group members to adopt social
ideologies, norms, and practices. Because it equips each
member of society with the habits and skills necessary to

In the early days of computer science, almost 10% of
graduate women enrolled in computer science in the United
States in 1971 and 27% in 1981. This was higher than

Women began to receive fewer bachelor's degrees in
mathematics and computer science in the middle of the
1980s, while the number of Master's degrees remained

is less than 40 percent. ICTs are emerging as a promising

Power of Self-discovery
Rajaa Moumena has had a passion for teaching since her
early days as a lab technician at King Abdel Aziz University
Hospital in Jeddah. After she majored in Microbiology at
Manchester University in England, she returned to Saudi
Arabia and started work as a Lab Technician in the
Microbiology department in 1986. She worked as a senior
clinical instructor and researcher in 1989 and, in 1995, was
appointed Deputy Director of the Microbiology lab.
Realizing her passion for training, Rajaa left her job at the
university and started her own business in 1991, founding
the Future Institute of Higher Education and Training
(originally named the Future Centre). Later, she started
working on a manual written in simple language for
technicians to understand, and with that, Rajaa Moumena
set out to create an institute dedicated to providing the
highest quality education and training possible, thus
beginning her journey as an Entrepreneur and Educator.

Rajaa Moumena says, “I was driven by a strong belief in
change, noticing the advancement of technology in the
world around me, as well as seeing strong women in a large
variety of roles in KSA; though they were counted, I knew
that this was the future of KSA, and I took a commitment
within myself to be part of this change.” In 2004, under
Royal Decree from King Abdullah, this change came.
Since the Future Institute opened its doors, they have been
at the forefront of changing perceptions about Saudi women
and the kind of work they can do. The Future Center
started out offering English language courses in Microsoft
Office for women. The boom of personal computers gave
ladies a chance to be part of the digital transformation
unfolding in the world.
Journey of Exploration and its Key Drivers
The Institute is regarded as a pioneer in KSA’s higher
education sector and offers young women the chance to
develop themselves and take control of their future.
While talking about the quality of education, Rajaa says, “I
have established links with distinguished colleges in the UK
(Inchbald, Mercator, Bournemouth, and Poole, Pearson) to
have both international and local certificates.” Rajaa thinks
of ways she can provide her students with top-quality
education, experience and exposure in their fields.
The students can study for two years in the Future
Institute to earn a diploma, then transfer to universities that
are accredited by the Future Institute to complete one or
two years for a BA degree Heriot-Watt University – Dubai,
Jeddah International College, and the University of
Business and Technology in KSA.
Their core programs currently comprise fashion design,
jewelry design, interior design, photography, graphic
design, English language, management, and marketing.
The Future Institute began offering courses in fashion
design in 2002. Earlier, they were the first fashion design
school in the country. The courses were taught by highly
specialized trainers and varied from the design of simple
garments to finely embroidered ‘Haute Couture.’
Another popular program they offer is Jewelry Design.
This is a one-year program. They have their own fully
equipped workshop, which is one-of-a-kind for women in
Saudi Arabia. The students are guided through every stage
of the design and manufacturing processes to translate their
ideas into workable, wearable designs, which are evaluated
according to standard criteria based on creativity, originality
and execution.
Future Institute’s three-year diploma in Architectural
Interior Design equips students to work with software
programmers such as CAD, Autodesk 3D Max, Sketch, and
Autodesk AutoCAD and to explore the entire creative
process of interior design, from the choice of materials and
furnishings through to technology and even retailing.

Harness the Power of Adversity
“During the journey, I encountered three major challenges
that were hard on the continuity of the Future Institute: the
first was when I had to close down because I was offering
courses that were not yet allowed to be validated by the
Ministry of Education in 1997,” Rajaa said.
The second was in 2003 when the business was not doing
well. Many institutes opened and jumped into the training
sector, which was a winner, and our institute shrank.
Third, when COVID-19 struck the whole world, and we
knew nothing about online training and how to continue
online when physical training was impossible - Rajaa
exclaimed.
Rajaa Moumena found the first challenge hard as she had to
convince her senior officials in the Ministry of Education of
her vision. She believed women would take part in many
jobs from 2000 on. The jobs were limited to teachers,
doctors, and business owners, who were not allowed to
even attend in their offices. She was convinced that women
would soon be in a variety of other jobs and businesses.
It did happen in 2004. Women were eventually seen in
business and jobs such as marketing and sales, nursing,
fashion design, and architecture in the country.
She wanted to offer training in all these domains, but she
was not allowed to do so in 1993. She took the challenge
and was ready to face it.
In 2003, the business wasn’t doing well. The location they
were in wasn’t good anymore, and the candidates stopped
wanting to join. Many other attractive programmes were
available, and this entitled her to invest more money. She
had to leave the premises. However, she did not have the
finances to support that move. So, she decided to get a loan.
She did, and she chose a great location that will fulfill not
only the training but will help achieve social
accomplishments as well. It was on a campus of 1000 sq.
m. That venue was a huge success until 2014 when they
realized they needed to be more advanced and ahead of the
big change coming to KSA. She decided to have a business
partner who can support her plans and is also a believer in
her passion. And it was her friend and a great supporter of
training and education, Mrs. Nashwa Taher, a Saudi
businesswoman with a leading position in the business
community.
In 2019, COVID-19 struck the world, and in March 2020,
KSA stopped all forms of physical education and moved
everything online. This was their most difficult challenge
because they had never studied or attempted any form of
online education.
Again, she had to be quick and ready to face the change.
She located a good trainer to teach them all how to use
Zoom for educational purposes, and in five days, they were
ready to go live. They then delivered to each trainer all of
her tools, including tables and chairs, to allow them to teach
comfortably from home. Currently, Future Institute offers
all its programmes online. It was worth the challenge.
Competitive Ideas to Differentiate
Highlighting the importance of having competitive and
innovative ideas for training in today’s market, Rajaa says,
“Training, in particular, is a very tricky business in today’s
world.” With the Internet being open to the whole world,
don’t think of jumping in unless you have very unique and
competitive ideas that can distinguish you. Also, they must
be prepared to change their strategy at any time in order to
adapt to changing circumstances.
Aim to Accelerate
After a long journey of training, her current vision for the
future is to serve firms and equip the new generation with
the necessary skills to maintain their jobs and ensure
companies with a long employee retention rate and better
achievements. By doing this, she aims to help companies
build a strong foundation for success and create a more
secure future for their employees.

Mae Jamison
Mae Jemison is a specialist, designer, and previous NASA

Kalpana Chawla
Kalpana Chawla began working in the powered-lift
computational fluid dynamics field at NASAAmes
Research Center in 1988. The "ground-effect" complex air
flows around aircraft like the Harrier were the primary
focus of her research. She supported research into mapping
flow solvers to parallel computers and testing these solvers
by performing powered lift computations following the
completion of this project.
Her NASA Perspective:
NASA selected Kalpana in December 1994. After
completing a year of training and evaluation, she was
assigned as a crew representative to work on technical
issues for the Astronaut Office EVA/Robotics and Computer
Branches. Her responsibilities included testing space shuttle
control software in the Shuttle Avionics Integration
Laboratory and developing Robotic Situational Awareness
Displays.

She was given the role of crew representative for shuttle
and station flight crew equipment in January 1998, and she
became the section lead for Astronaut Offices Crew

days, 14 hours, and 54 minutes on STS-87 (1997) and STS-

Sally Ride
Sally Ride was instrumental in setting out vocation and
instructive open doors for ladies and young ladies in
science and arithmetic. In the year 1983, she became the
first American woman to go into space as an astronaut. She
was responsible for operating the robotic arm, which she
used to launch satellites into space, on NASA's second and
third Space Shuttle missions.
She set up NASA's EarthKam Project, which allowed
students to take pictures of the Earth and then study them
after she quit working for NASA. Later she was inducted
into the Astronaut Hall of Fame in 2003.
Valentina Tereshkova
Valentina Tereshkova is a designer, an individual from the
Russian State Duma, and a previous Soviet cosmonaut. She
was the first woman to set foot in space on June 13, 1963.
In the span of three days, she traveled around the Earth 48
times.Later, she joined the Communist Party and attended
numerous international gatherings as a Soviet
representative. Tereshkova is still the only woman to have
gone into space alone.
Chien Shiung Wu
Chien-Shiung Wu was a pioneer in physics and a leading
figure. She was the first woman hired by Princeton
University's physics department, in addition to being a
Chinese American immigrant.
After that, she got a job at Columbia University and started
working on the Matthan Project, which made nuclear
weapons. Her most famous work is the Wu experiment,
which demonstrated that even identical particles don't
always behave the same way. She was granted the debut
Wolf Prize in Physical science in 1978 and was nicknamed
the "Primary Woman of Physical science.”

Marie Curie was a chemist and physicist. She made significant
radioactivity discoveries. She discovered two new elements
such as polonium and radium. She directed the first study on
the effects of radiation on tumors.

facility in Paris, France, specializing in radiation therapy and
cancer research. She won the Nobel Prize twice, making her
the first and only woman to do so. In addition, Curie is the
only person to win the Nobel Prize in both: chemistry and
physics.
Katharine Johnson
Mathematician Katherine Johnson was one of NASA's first
African American female scientists. She got credit because she
calculated and analyzed the flight paths of NASA spacecraft as
a mathematician.
She is best known for carrying out the calculations that made it
possible for the very first Americans to walk on the moon and
enter the orbit of the Earth. The 2016 film "Hidden Figures"
chronicles Johnson's life and work at NASA.

of changes, but the most significant one was watching
someone grow into their best selves, she stated.
