Show your team members that you’re willing to listen to them and they will be more willing to listen to you too.
  4. 4. 2. Show Strength Morale is often lowered when times are tough. Show strength in difficult times. Show your support for the organisation and lead by example. As a leader, you are always looked to as an example. Work as a team to find solutions to problems.
  5. 5. 3. Be A Visionary As a visionary, you often have ideas of where you would like to see your department and team members. Share your vision with others, inspire and challenge them to make that vision come true.
  6. 6. 4. Help Others To Succeed Leaders are only as effective as their team. Let your team members know what you see in them and ask them what you can do to help them succeed. Have one-on-one time with your team members. Set up a goal plan on what they would like to see themselves achieve, what you want to see them achieve and how they will get there.
  7. 7. 5. Respect Of All A true leader shows respect for others. Respect can go a long way in bringing everyone together to achieve the team’s goals. Striking fear into your team members is not effective leadership. The result is usually poor productivity and lowered workplace satisfaction as well as a high turnover of staff.
