Enhancing the quality of primary education
Problem statements
WHAT EDUCATION SUFFER!!!!!!!
 Children do not have access to basic education because
of inequalities that originate in sex, health and cultural
identity (ethnic origin, language, religion).
 These children find themselves on the margins of the
education system and do not benefit from learning that
is vital to their intellectual and social development.
 There exists poor governance and oversight to monitor
performance of existing teachers. Teacher absence
rates were over 25% across India in 2003, a survey that
covered the same areas in 2010 found that teachers’
absence in rural India was still around 24% in
Government schools have poor infrastructural facilities.
A survey suggests that 95.2% of schools do not meet
the RTE infrastructure indicators.
 According to a Parliamentary report, there is a paucity
of teachers and trained staff. The report also finds that
several states, including Delhi, Haryana, Andhra
Pradesh and Maharashtra saw a reduction in number of
teachers between 2009-10 and 2010-11 .
Expenditure in Education
whyeducationlack???????
 The ethnic diversity in India poses challenges to
implement consistent education nationwide
 There are more than 300 languages spoken in the
country and makes it difficult to offer education
tailored to specific social segment.
 Educating women in some societies is a big issue.
Children of poor families are forced to work and miss
out the learning opportunities.
 Illiterate adults have very limited opportunities to get
educated at later age in their lives.
 Targeted action is needed to reach different types of
out-of-school children—those who work, those who
live in slums, those on the street, those who are
members of tribes or of migrant families, and those
who live in places without schools.
 Attitude Towards Learning- there are certain sections
of people who think otherwise, who look down upon
education and regard it with contempt. They claim that
it is of no use to build a scholarly mind or enlighten it
through academics. They forget, however, that
education comprises holistic development of the mind,
body and soul.
Solutionstotheproblem
 India has made progress in terms of increasing the primary education
attendance rate and expanding literacy to approximately three
quarters of the population
 But still India need to improve a lot into the subject of education.
 factors that could lead to the improvement into the primary education
are:-
 improvement into the skills of the teachers
 focus towards the e-learning
 start the concept of the virtual schooling
 changes into the grading system
 education should not be given souly into the
hands of the either public or private sector it
should be into the collaboration of the both
so that the proper attention and time should
be given to the concerned issue .
 education can’t be free of cost but it should
neither be too costly to afford it.

Meritstotheabovesolution
 Indian Education system need a proper development from top to bottom so as to improve the primary
education.
 E-learning and virtual schooling will really work into the favor of the student and will reduce the cost of teaching
and education .
 Highly skilled teachers will create a good ambience and will set a high level of education into the students.
 Change into the grading system will work as a +ve symbol as it will reduce the % of risk and fear into the children
and will boost their eternal strength.
 Giving the education into the hands of the single sector(public or private) will create the atmosphere of
dictatorship and education will be at risk.
Implementationofthesolutions
 Proper training sessions and workshops should be
conducted to keep the teachers updated.
 Every school should be provided with the atmosphere
where they can not just learn the subject but could
also implement them in real world.
 Virtual schooling is really the best and the major factor
that can help into any level of education.
 Government should take some steps to reduce the
education cost as well as the cost of the required
material(book + stationary) for education.
 We can form some NGOs which will help in creating
the awareness among the common people and help
them to realize the importance of the education .
 Students should also be given some benefits so as to
attract them towards the study and education (
benefits can be like free books, stationary,
laptops/tablets if required or necessary).

Impactofthesolution…
 Primary education will not only leads to single
person’s development but will also help in decreasing
the poverty rate of the country.
 This will rise standard of living and will also evaluate
and widen the mental status of the population of
India
 Primary education will create more awareness and
will further help to spread the importance of
education in our life.
 This will develop the creativity into the young minds
and ultimate outcome will be development of the
nation.
 Education leads to sense of independence .
Scalableandsustainablesolutions appropriate mechanism
 We foresee internet driven teaching-learning
solutions playing a key role in the future of
higher education. The reasons for their success
would be their reach, efficiency, scalability
and affordability.These solutions will also
bring in a learner centric approach where the
focus would be on enhancing learning
outcomes.

GOVERNMENT
Challenges:-
1) Major challenge to the above solution is the lack of the internal cooperation among the various sectors
2) Corruption could also be a reason for the lack of knowledge and primary education.
3) Poverty is the factor which will always be a bottleneck to the education.
4) Child labour is also a great reason to above.
VARIOUS PROPOSED SOLUTIONS AREAS FOLLOWS
 Teacher compensation has little effect on absence.
 Better infrastructure provides stronger incentive to
attend schools
 Increase frequency of inspection – local communities,
 PTAs to monitor
 Modified contract rules
 Increased use of private schools
 Providing facilities for Open and Distance Education Program.

Improve Primary Education in India /TITLE

  • 1. . Enhancing the quality of primary education
  • 2. Problem statements WHAT EDUCATION SUFFER!!!!!!!  Children do not have access to basic education because of inequalities that originate in sex, health and cultural identity (ethnic origin, language, religion).  These children find themselves on the margins of the education system and do not benefit from learning that is vital to their intellectual and social development.  There exists poor governance and oversight to monitor performance of existing teachers. Teacher absence rates were over 25% across India in 2003, a survey that covered the same areas in 2010 found that teachers’ absence in rural India was still around 24% in Government schools have poor infrastructural facilities. A survey suggests that 95.2% of schools do not meet the RTE infrastructure indicators.  According to a Parliamentary report, there is a paucity of teachers and trained staff. The report also finds that several states, including Delhi, Haryana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra saw a reduction in number of teachers between 2009-10 and 2010-11 . Expenditure in Education
  • 3. whyeducationlack???????  The ethnic diversity in India poses challenges to implement consistent education nationwide  There are more than 300 languages spoken in the country and makes it difficult to offer education tailored to specific social segment.  Educating women in some societies is a big issue. Children of poor families are forced to work and miss out the learning opportunities.  Illiterate adults have very limited opportunities to get educated at later age in their lives.  Targeted action is needed to reach different types of out-of-school children—those who work, those who live in slums, those on the street, those who are members of tribes or of migrant families, and those who live in places without schools.  Attitude Towards Learning- there are certain sections of people who think otherwise, who look down upon education and regard it with contempt. They claim that it is of no use to build a scholarly mind or enlighten it through academics. They forget, however, that education comprises holistic development of the mind, body and soul.
